Proving she wouldn’t let a little tummy trouble get in the way of the live show, she shared a photo to her Instagram of a pack of diarrhoea tablets, candidly captioning the snap: “Not an ideal scenario heading into a live tv show @theprojecttv “
While some fans called Carrie out for her “TMI” post, most saw the funny side and praised the presenter for getting on with her job.
“And this why everyone loves Carrie.❤️” wrote one fan.
Although Carrie’s radio co-host, Tommy Little – who was rushed to hospital for a mystery illness least week – claimed she was “upping the ante” in the sickness stakes, joking: “You couldn’t just let me be the sick one could you?! Oh no, you had to go and up the ante and s**t yourself on live TV!”
Carrie returned to host The Project last week after taking eight months off for maternity leave after having baby Adelaide in December.
The mum-of-three shares her seven-month-old daughter with her partner Chris Walker.
The couple also have a daughter, Evie, four, together, and Carrie is mum to Oliver, 11, whose dad, Carrie’s husband Greg Lange, passed away in 2010 after a long battle with brain cancer.
Carrie has been a presenter on The Project since the Channel Ten show debuted in 2009 as The 7pm Project.
She also hosts the Carrie and Tommy radio show on the Hit Network with her co-host Tommy Little.
