Greeting everyone with her signature warm smile, Delta Goodrem prances around WHO’S sexiest people shoot humming off-the-cuff tunes that only a true professional could hit with ease.
“I try to find inspiration in life every day,” the The Voice coach, who turns 34 on Nov. 9, tells WHO. “I am inspired by experiences, nature, people I meet, travelling, being creative and music.”
What makes you feel sexy?
For me, feeling sexy is holistic – it’s about having confidence, it’s when I am being creative, when I am being my true self and feeling inspired.
Who do you think of when you hear the word sexy?
Elvis. I loved watching all the old Elvis movies – where he is acting, singing, dancing.
When do you feel most confident?
I feel most confident when I’m doing what I love to do – sitting at my piano and singing.
How did you build your confidence?
I think confidence can be a process and an evolution. The more you get to know yourself, the more confident you can be because it’s about finding your authentic self. I have always felt self-assured about what my purpose in this world is. I embrace my unique self and strive to be the best version of myself.
What’s been your biggest highlight?
There’s no way I could identify just one highlight. They’ve all been magical at the time.
Will you be doing more acting?
Acting has always been one of my passions and an area of the arts that I love. I will definitely continue to act as I find the right projects.
What’s to come next year?
I am currently in the studio working on new music. The sound and message of the album is evolving and I’m very excited for everyone to hear what I have been working on.
What advice do you have for young singers?
My advice for up-and-coming artists is to never give up on what’s in your heart and your dreams.
