Fifi Box has taken to air to confirm she is officially in a new relationship…and you’ll never guess how her daughter played a role in the pair’s meeting!
Fifi shared the exciting announcement in July on Melbourne’s 101.9’s breakfast show Fifi, Fev & Nick.
As the hosts prepare for their Big Night Out in Las Vegas, they began asking Fifi is she was planning on getting married by Elvis – and Fifi admitted she can’t!
“I do have some news… I’m in a relationship!”
Sharing more details on her mystery beau, Fifi added: “It started as a crush, a guy piqued my interest, he was one of the dads at school pick-up.”
The radio host and presenter also admitted the secret nearly came out earlier than expected during a previous radio segment. “It nearly came out during our Lie Detector segment,” she explained.”We had to beep it out.”
Throughout the radio segment, Fifi also dished out a few more details about her mystery man, sharing the hilarious way her daughter was involved in their meeting.
“I have my 3-year-old Daisy to thank… she threw the mother of all tantrums… she turned it on… he was sitting there watching, I looked up at him and he was laughing,” she told listeners.
“Off the market… officially off the market!”
A few weeks later the identity of her mystery beau was revealed, with Woman’s Day reporting that she is dating construction company project manager and dad of two, Rocky Mangano.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted him in the background of a video from Box’s youngest daughter’s birthday party ate last month.
The mother to two sweet girls; Beatrix “Trixie” Belle Box and Daisy Belle Box, has kept details of her relationships largely out of the public eye in recent years.
Her most public relationship has been with ex-iron man and the father of her first daughter, Grant Kenny.
Although Fifi and Grant are amicable, their relationship has not been the most straightforward of affairs.
It was reported the two met in 2011 at a party in Hawaii, but rumours were swelling that they had been connected three years prior when in 2009, they were photographed by The Sunshine Coast Daily eating together in Mooloolaba.
In 2012, Fifi fell pregnant with her first child, but she had been split up from Grant for a while before giving birth.
Fifi famously kept Trixie’s father’s identity private for years, but it had been one of the Australian media’s worst kept secrets.
However, in 2016 Fifi finally felt comfortable revealing that Grant Kenny is Trixie’s biological dad.
