Game of Thrones fans don’t have too much longer to wait until the final season of airs.
The eighth season will premiere in April 2019.
The news was confirmed with a brand new trailer – and it looks like an intense finale.
The video says, “Every battle. Every betrayal. Every risk. Every fight. Every sacrifice. Every death. All #ForTheThrone.”

“I’m not going to talk about what to expect, although it’s pretty great,” HBO’s President of Programming Casey Bloys revealed at the Summer Television Critics Association Press Tour.
Although not much is known about what the final season will entail, it has been confirmed that it will consist of just six episodes, around the same length of those in season seven.
It has also been reported that the actors have filmed several different endings to protect the show’s fans from reading any spoilers.
