Days after being released from hospital following his horrific crash, Family Feud’s Grant Denyer reveals that he will have to “reassess things”.
Speaking to the panelists of The Project, Denyer claims that his wife, Cheryl wants him to quit race car driving.
“Motorsport is something I have been doing since I was 14 years of age. I won the GT Australian Motor Sport games last year,” he said.
“I have to remember I am a father, first and foremost. And I have got a duty to turn up on television for Family Feud every single night. I will reassess things.”
Denyer recently shared a snap on his final day in hospital, writing: “Yay! Home time. So happy to be out of hospital and going home. Can walk on crutches now which is ace. Sore, bruised but not broken. Except for my sacrum. And finger.”
As investigators have began looking into the freak crash, Network Ten have been forced to postpone filming of Family Feud while Denyer recovers.
“I’ve been in regular contact with Grant since the accident yesterday,” Channel Ten boss Paul Anderson told News Corp.
“Everyone at Ten is very happy and relieved that he is making good progress and is in good spirits.
“Grant is recovering well and is very excited about his Gold Logie nomination. As he said yesterday, the nomination has numbed some of the pain.”
