Taking to Instagram this morning, he shared happy news with his followers as he unveiled details of his next venture back into the music world.
Posting a pic of a smashed glass window in a door frame with the numbers ’28-06-19′ over top, Ruffo announced to his 236K Instagram followers: “It’s Coming… 28-06-19 🎶 #brokenglass”
‘Broken Glass’ will be the first music release for the former X-Factor Australia finalist since 2015.
Back in May, Johnny spoke on the Fitzy and Wippa show to give his fans an update on his health.
“Currently clear of cancer,” Ruffo told the radio hots.
“I’ve gotten the all clear, so no more cancer. I’ve just got to hope it stays that way.”
In the same interview, Ruffo revealed that he had written three new songs for an upcoming album.
The 31-year-old star was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2017, and has his girlfriend Tahnee Sims to thank for rushing him to the hospital when he complained of head pains.
“I was just at home and I had a headache, but everyone has headaches and you never think much of it,” he told WHO‘s Who Are You podcast host Pete Timbs.
“It had been ongoing and it just got worse and worse. It got to about 4 or 5 in the afternoon and I couldn’t speak, I couldn’t communicate with her [Tahnee] at all.”
Johnny told Daily Mail Australia in January that his battle with the illness may finally be over.
“I’m going really good. My next scan is in three weeks and provided that’s all clear then I’m in the clear completely,” he revealed.
“That will be my last scan for now and then I’ve got to get another one every three months – you’ve got to keep checking up on it.”
