If you’re a Bachie franchise enthusiast, chances are you’re already very familiar with Elly Miles.
But just in case you’re not, allow us to catch you up real quick: she’s a bubbly blonde nurse from Newcastle in New South Wales, who’s currently one of two leading ladies on this year’s season of The Bachelorette (her older sister Becky is also starring in the show.)

But this isn’t the 26-year-old’s first foray into reality TV. Aussies first fell in love with Elly back in 2019 while watching her compete for Bachelor Matt Agnew’s heart.
The pair forged an instant connection on night one, roasting heart-shaped marshmallows by a crackling fire during the cocktail party.
Matt asked where Elly she was from, prompting her to explain she grew up in a NSW country town called Parkes. Being an astrophysicist, Matt knew exactly where she meant. He replied: “Oh just near the Parkes telescope?”
Despite being one of the first to score a solo date – and multiple kisses – with Matt, Elly didn’t receive a rose before the hometown episode. The decision to send her home came as a huge shock both to her and the rest of the country! But, over the past 12 months, she’s taken time to heal her heart and is now more prepared than ever to find her “special someone.”
“I am just hoping that out of this experience I find something real,” she says. “I want to find someone who I want to be with, and who wants to be with me.”
What else is there to know about Elly, you ask?
Well, she’s 162 cm tall (which, FYI, makes her 5ft 3.) Her official bio describes her as “a big softie with a kind heart” who “looks at people in love and wants to feel that for herself.”
Her ideal partner is “someone kind, funny, selfless, loyal and intelligent.”
“Someone I can learn from and who learns from me,” she continues.
“Supporting each other through both the difficult and happy times. Someone who shares the same love for life as me and who is willing to take chances. Someone to travel the world and tick off my bucket-list with. Someone who my family loves and I love his. Someone who, if they have a dog, that their dog and my dog get along really well. Someone generous, family orientated and humble.”
Elly loves “being outdoors” so her dream date would definitely involve an adventure or two.
“I find sit-down dinners can put a lot of pressure on you to have conversation flow,” she explains. “A fun activity is always a good option and a good chance to have a bit of banter! If I let my imagination run wild, a dream date for me would be a day full of outdoor activities like fishing (and actually catching heaps of fish) and mud crabbing then heading off to a beach where we’d cook up our catch in a camp oven. Then spend the evening around the fire, listening to music.”
She’s also big on prioritising her mental and physical health, so much of her downtime is spent eating “clean” and hitting up the beach or her local gym.
“I basically eat really clean throughout the week and if I want a treat on the weekend, that’s when I go for it,” she recently told WHO, adding that she’s a fan of intermittent fasting.
“Knowing that I am doing something really good for myself by maintaining that lifestyle makes me feel confident and happy.”
