Jennifer Lawrence – Katniss Everdeen
Starring as the series’ protagonist Katniss Everdeen, Jennifer Lawrence reprised her role as the brave District 12 tribute for each of The Hunger Games films.
Since starring in the beloved YA franchise, Jennifer has also continually reprised her role as Mystique in the X-Men franchise, appearing most recently in Dark Phoenix (2019).
The 33-year-old married husband Cooke Maroney in October 2019, with the couple welcoming their first child, son Cy, in February 2022.
Josh Hutcherson – Peeta Mellark
Throughout The Hunger Games, Josh Hutcherson played the role of the beloved Peeta Mellark; Katniss’ District 12 counterpart and love interest.
Since the release of Mockingjay Part 2 in 2015, the 31-year-old has featured in a handful of independent films, with his most recent appearance in the 2023 film Five Nights at Freddy’s marking his return to the big screen.
Liam Hemsworth – Gale Hawthorne
Throughout The Hunger Games franchise, District 12 resident Gale Hawthorne is Katniss’ best friend and hunting partner who quickly endeared himself to fans thanks to his secret crush on Katniss.
Since starring in The Hunger Games, Liam Hemsworth has starred in a number of Hollywood blockbusters, such as Independence Day: Resurgence and The Dressmaker.
In 2019, Liam made headlines following his divorce from his The Last Song co-star Miley Cyrus. Following his divorce from Miley, Liam has been in a relationship with Australian model Gabriella Brooks since early 2022.
Sam Claflin – Finnick Odair
Loved by fans as the heartthrob from District 4, Sam Claflin made his first appearance as Finnick Odair in the second film of The Hunger Games franchise, Catching Fire.
Since starring in The Hunger Games, Sam Claflin has solidified his role as a rom-com leading man following his appearances in Love, Rosie and Me Before You.
Most recently, Sam has been in the spotlight following his performance as the enigmatic Billy Dunne in Daisy Jones & The Six.
Willow Shields – Primrose Everdeen
As one of the chosen tributes from District 12, Primrose Everdeen was spared entering the 74th Hunger Games after her elder sister Katniss volunteered to take her place.
Since appearing in The Hunger Games franchise, Willow Shields has starred in only a handful of film and television projects, with the 2023 Detective Knight: Independence marking her fourth film role since the conclusion of The Hunger Games in 2015.
Willow also recently appeared on the 2019 season of Dancing With the Stars, finishing seventh in the competition.
Amandla Stenberg – Rue
As Katniss’ first alliance inside the 74th Hunger Games battlefield, 12-year-old Rue quickly endeared herself to fans of the franchise, with her tragic passing still remaining one of the franchise’s most stand-out moments.
Since starring in The Hunger Games, 25-year-old Amandla Stenberg has featured in several Hollywood blockbusters, including Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), RuPaul’s Drag Race, Dr Evan Hansen, and Bodies Bodies Bodies.
