Popular K-Pop star Heize has collapsed after performing at the 2017 SBS Gayo Daejun show, an annual end-of-year program that was hosted in South Korea on Monday night.
Heize (whose real name is Jang Da-hye) was rushed to hospital where she remains in an unknown condition.
Her reps have released the following statement to Metro:
“It seems that Heize’s extremely busy schedule may have taken a toll on her health. Based on her diagnosis at the hospital, it has been decided that she will undergo surgery. For now, her progress must be observed, and it appears that she will be unable to move forward with her plans and scheduled activities for the immediate future.”
The exact reason behind the collapse has not yet been revealed but sources claim that it has something to do with the singer’s ongoing throat issues.
