Heigl recently stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live!, telling the host that she and husband Josh Kelley had a tough time coming up with their son’s name before finally settling on the decision to name him after his dad.

“I don’t know why, I just struggled with it,” the Grey’s Anatomy alum admitted. “It’s a big thing, and you don’t want to fail this child with the wrong name.”

“I think Joshua is a beautiful name. And one night I sort of broached it with [Josh]: ‘How do you feel about a junior?’ ” Heigl explained. “In the past he said, ‘Oh I hate that idea, I would never be that guy.’ [But] I just wasn’t finding something I was responding to. And he was like, ‘Oh I love that, that would mean a lot to me.’

And though motherhood is not all sunshine and rainbows 24/7 (see: Heigl’s spit-up comment), the star is open to the idea of expanding her Utah-based brood even further.

“I still want more children,” she told PEOPLE for a February cover story. “I’d get pregnant again, and I still am very inspired by adoption. I also have been thinking a lot about fostering.”
