Hillary Clinton and Kim Kardashian might seem like an unlikely duo, but America’s most recognisable women are about to team up in an insightful and raw new show.

As part of the upcoming AppleTV+ series, Gutsy, the former Secretary of State and her daughter Chelsea Clinton will travel across the United States to interview pioneering celebrities and “celebrate the gutsy women who inspire them”.
Based on the mother-daughter duo’s novel, The Book of Gutsy Women, the series will show Hillary and Chelsea interviewing actress Goldie Hawn and her daughter Kate Hudson, comedian Amy Schumer, rapper Megan Thee Stallion and journalist Gloria Steinem.
But undoubtedly the pair’s most highly-anticipated guest is Kim Kardashian, who appears on the series to discuss her prison reform efforts.
“To throw someone’s life away when people really do make changes, I just believe in second chances,” Kim says in a preview for the show, which premiers on September 9.
In the episode, Kim, who is currently in law school studying for the bar exam, faced off against former lawyer Hillary in a general legal knowledge quiz.
“I think Kim has an unfair advantage,” Hillary said in the preview clip, to which quizmaster Chelsea added: “Kim has studied more recently than you.”
The mother-daughter duo were impressed by the reality star’s knowledge, and said they enjoyed getting to know her on an intellectual level.
“She worked so hard [on the bar exam] and persevered,” Hillary said.
“We didn’t interview her about fashion, her many lines of commerce, her personal life. We interviewed about what she was doing to help get people who were unjustly or unfairly incarcerated have a second chance.”
Elsewhere in the sneak peek, Hillary opened up about her marriage to former President Bill Clinton.
“You have a marriage that has been on public display since the beginning. You said the gutsiest thing you ever did was stay in your marriage,” to which she responds: “That doesn’t mean that’s right for everybody.”
Gutsy premieres on Apple TV+ September 9.
