Earlier this year, the reality star copped intense backlash for saying, “I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f***ing a** up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days,” during an interview with Variety.

Fans and critics alike called Kim out for her “tone deaf” comments and claimed she is unaware of her privilege.

But in a sneak peek for the second season of The Kardashians, Kim addresses the criticism she received.

“You saw all of the backlash on the Variety interview?” Kim said to her sister Khloe in the clip, which was filmed shortly after the interview went live.

When asked what Kim should do, Khloe bluntly responded: “No one sympathizes with you!”

“I’m mortified, and I do understand why people were upset,” Kim added.

Khloe then tried to lift her sister’s spirits by assuring her: “You got this. We’re built for this.”

Kim, 41, was blasted as out of touch for her comments, prompting her to address the controversy in a recent sit-down with Good Morning America.

“It wasn’t a blanket statement towards women or to feel like I don’t respect the work or think that they don’t work hard. I know that they do,” she said.

“It was taken out of context, but I’m really sorry if it was received that way.

“That statement that I said was without questions and conversation around it, and it became a sound bite really with no context.”

Kim claimed that the question about her business advice for women came after the interviewer, Variety’s Chief Correspondent Elizabeth Wagmeister, suggested the SKIMS mogul was just “famous for being famous”.

The mother-of-four said this made her “entire tone and attitude” change.

However, Elizabeth hit back at Kim’s claims, writing on Twitter that she asked the reality star a “very direct question” and that the “question about [her] being famous for being famous” was asked afterwards.

“It’s not what she claims,’ Elizabeth tweeted. “I just reviewed the raw footage. The question was very direct: “What would be your advice for women in business?” The question about being famous for being famous came after that question, actually.”

We can’t wait to see how this plays out on the upcoming season of The Kardashians
