The second round of MAFS weddings are talking place and while all the new ‘villains‘ and tensions have given fans much to talk about, one thing they may also have noticed is intruder groom Sam, or rather, how he has a certain Love Actually look.
That’s right, fans have decided that Sam looks oh so similar to Bridget Jones’ Diary heartthrob Colin Firth (especially when he put on those glasses!).
Once you notice it, it’s hard to unsee!

The comparison showed up almost instantly on social media after the groom was introduced.
Now, after Sam and his partner Chris‘ wedding, fans are certain about the comparison.
“Sam has a look of Colin Firth,” one user noted. And our eyes are certainly thanking the producers for this one!
MAFS introduce another same-sex couple
Sam, 34, and his husband Chris, 38, are one of only a few same-sex couples that have appeared on the show.
They follow in the footsteps of Craig and Andy, Amanda and Tash, and Michael and Stephen. It’s understood none are still together.
Alongside the show’s fair share of drama, this season of MAFS has also bride Julia who is the show’s first bisexual woman to be married on the reality hit.
Both Sam and Chris are fitness studio owners and are looking for that outdoorsy type of love under the stars.
However, during the wedding, Chris spent the night holding his tongue and waiting for the right moment to tell the Colin Firth lookalike that he has two surrogacy kids entering his life over the next year.
Will this be the one thing this couple doesn’t have in common?
Will they go the distance?
From the get-go, Chris has tried to hint to Sam that he wants kids, and soon. While Sam is definitely open to a family, he admitted that he wasn’t ready for one (let alone two) in the next year.
This makes things awkward for Chris, who, has two babies on the way… with one arriving in the next couple of months.
Sam’s uncertainty around having kids forced Chris to delay telling him his happy news, with the hopes that time spent together will help soften Sam to the idea.
Fans are also holding out hope for the couple’s success.
“”I love Sam and Chris!” one fan said. “I hope the babies aren’t a dealbreaker.”
Time will certainly tell, but at least for now, we have a young Colin Firth doppelgänger to gaze upon when moments get tense in the show…
