The race is on! Despite COVID-19 wreaking havoc on all our favourite shows, The Amazing Race Australia has persevered through the trials – much like its contestants – and has come out the other side stronger than ever.
But, while we love watching the racers test their limits and defy the odds, only one team can be victorious.

There is $250,000 up for grabs and each team is determined to be the one depositing that cheque at the end of the competition.
Unfortunately, beloved host Beau Ryan can’t split the cash 14 ways, meaning that 13 teams will have to say goodbye before the last pair standing wins that glorious prize.
As we countdown to crowning the winner, here is every single contestant who has left the race.
Kimberley Cousins | Dwes & Katherine
Last to arrive and first to go!
The Kimberley cousins were the first to leave the race after arriving last to the Pitt Stop in Mossman, Queensland. But it wasn’t quite their last hurrah as the pair made a spectacular return in episode three.
However, the cousins’ journey came to its actual end in Coober Pedy, South Australia.
Twin Models | Alex & Jack
Twin brothers Alex and Jack were the first team to make the brave decision to withdraw from the race after Alex was grappling with some mental health issues.
Mums | Jude & Shannon
The third episode of Amazing Race saw mums Jude and Shannon leave the race after they were the last to arrive at the third pitt stop in Winton, Queensland. As we bid farewell to Jude and Shannon, Kimberley cousins Dwes and Katherine re-entered the race.
Childhood Friends | Malaan & Tina
Childhood friends Malaan and Tina were fourth to be booted from the competition at the head of Island week after being the last to arrive at the Townsville, Queensland Pitt stop.
Parents | Shane & Deb
The parents made it to the fifth leg of the race but sadly withdrew from the competition after Shane’s old knee injury flared up and caused him too much grief to continue.
Daughter & Dad | Jobelle & Rani
It’s been a brave battle for the father and daughter but Jobelle and Rani were finally defeated by the ocean. After being the last pair to arrive at the Pitt stop on the show’s sixth episode, the duo became the fifth team to be eliminated from the race.
Besties | Sefa & Jessica
As the contestants left Queensland and the race entered Darwin, these fan-favourite frenemies said their final goodbyes after being the last team to check in at the pitstop.
Dancing Exes | Jordan & Violeta
One night after placing second, dancing exes Jordan and Violeta were eliminated from the race after being the last team to make it to the pitstop. At least they still have their amazing dance moves.
The BodyBuilders | Stan & Wayne
It’s out of the race and back to the gym for bodybuilders Stan and Wayne who were booted from the competition during the Brisbane leg. But with all that muscle, we’re sure they’ll be able to pick themselves up.
Power Couple | Holly & Dolor
They made it through sixteen gruelling legs of the race but power couple Holly and Dolor have finally reached the end of their Amazing Race journey.
The Footy Mates | MJ & Chelsea
The fought a good fight but Footy mates MJ and Chelsea’s Amazing Race journey has come to an end after a game changing U-turn saw them eliminated.

High-school sweethearts turned newlyweds Chris and Aleisha fought hard through every U-turn and Sabotage throughout their Amazing Race journey; sadly they didn’t make it to the final three.
Super Sikhs | Jaskirat & Anurag
In the final leg of the race, best mates Jaskirat and Anurag put up a good fight but came in third overall. Great effort lads.
