Carlin Sterritt hits back: “Stop talking s**t”!

The Bachelorette boys battle it out...

We really thought things were going to come to blows on the latest episode of The Bachelorette

After Jamie Doran ripped into fellow contestant Carlin Sterritt, it genuinely looked like punches were about to be thrown.

WATCH: No doubt about this – this guy’s our winner…

But we’re getting ahead of ourselves.

After Carlin scored the night’s single date with Angie Kent – his second so far in the series – love rival Jamie was less than impressed (and that’s putting it mildly), and determined to do something about it.

That ‘something’ was to tell Angie that night at the cocktail party that he believed Carlin was a fake.

I am the eyes and ears in this mansion. I’m always watching, I’m always listening,” the firefighter told the blonde bombshell, who had just spent a beautiful day on the water with Carlin.

I’ve got your back in here. Carlin? Completely ungenuine.”

Cue. Shock. Everywhere.

But Jamie wasn’t done!

“He walks around this place, peacocking, talking about being the 2020 Bachelor next year,” he continued.

I sense disloyalty and I sense a snake in the grass and I sense that he puts this 12-hour character on for you. He can’t hold it up in here over a month, and I see, day by day, cracks forming in his character.

“Right now, you see Carlin as a knight in shining armour. You do, right? And I’m just telling you that it’s not what it seems. It’s not the fairytale that you think. I feel Carlin is here to further his TV and his acting career.”

Understandably, Angie was horrified.

“I’m in complete shock. My whole, like, tummy just sunk.”

And when Jamie returned to the group, things exploded.

I just had a chat with Angie and I told her who’s genuine and who’s ingenuine here left in the mansion,” he told the boys.

“It needed to happen. I needed to get it off my chest and Angie needed to hear it.”

Wanting to know more, Carlin asked: “You mentioned my name. Can I just ask what you said regarding me?”

Uh-oh…

“I’m not happy about you peacocking, saying you want to be the 2020 Bachelor next year.”

Yep, he went there.

And Carlin was not having it

“What?! You are spinning some real s**t, brother. You’re talking about being genuine, man. You’re literally saying s**t that I’ve never said.”

“Okay, let me stand up right now – 100 percent, I am in here for Angie. And if it wasn’t Angie, I wouldn’t be here, Jamie. Don’t take that away from me,” the hottie hit back.

“See this?” he asked, gesturing to the rose Angie had given him on their date earlier in the day.

“She’s given that to me because she sees that I am genuine. I left high school a long time ago. You are 39. Grow the hell up.”

And off he stormed to have a chat with Angie – and win her heart back.

“Jamie is trying to throw me under the bus because he sees me as a threat.”

Now, don’t worry, because after a second of uncertainty over who to believe, Angie chatted to another hopeful, Timm Hanly, who confirmed that, no, Carlin had never said he wanted to be the 2020 Bachelor. (Well, not that he’d heard, anyway).

Phew!

It wasn’t the first drama of Angie’s night, though, after she bid farewell to Haydn Trick following his big reveal that he doesn’t want kids.

In perhaps the most amicable (and sweetest) goodbye ever, Angie and Haydn talked it out and agreed that they just weren’t on the same page.

“I totally don’t mind if you don’t want to have kids, but I want to be a mum,” she told him. “I think that you would be a beautiful partner. But I think if we both don’t want…

“The same thing,” he interjected.

“It’s just… There’s no point, you know?”

Aww. We’re a little bit sad about this, to be honest!

“It’s pretty clear that Haydn and I aren’t on the same page. I think we both know. I don’t want to waste his time or my time. I felt like we didn’t have to wait for a rose ceremony. Our futures just don’t align, so I figured it was just important for us to say goodbye there and then,” Angie said to camera.

“There’s no hard feelings. It’s just two people wanting two very different things.”
