MasterChef: Back To Win is coming to an end but one contestant is tipped to be the ultimate winner.
It turns out that every major bookmaker is tipping Emelia Jackson to take the MasterChef crown – TAB have her placed at 1.22 whilst Sportsbet have Emelia on top at 1.38.
Seeing as MasterChef is filmed in advance, it’s thought someone may have leaked the winner causing the surge in online bets.
However, whilst TAB has Reynold Poernomo placed to take the runner-up spot at odds of $5, Sportsbet place Laura Sharrad at odds of $3.50.
Back in 2014, Emelia came in third place during MasterChef season six behind fellow season 12 contestant Laura and eventual winner Brent Owens.
Though she didn’t take the win, Emelia went on to start her own cake business from her parents’ kitchen and continues to bake amazing creations for weddings, birthdays and all sorts of other occasions.
Seeing as she was in her early-20s during her first time on MasterChef, former marketing coordinator Emelia has admitted that she became more resilient and confident since then.
“If I was to win season 12, I would be able to move my business into a cake studio which would honestly make the world of difference,” she said.
“If I won I don’t know if there’d be a better feeling in the world.”
This season, Emelia has wowed the judges with her creativity especially when it comes to showcasing her cakes and baking skills.
“As a little girl, I was always in the kitchen, beaters in one hand, cake tin in the other, mixing, measuring, making an enormous mess – and loving every minute of it,” her website reads.
“I’m always the one volunteering to bake the birthday cake or bring the dessert (I’ve found it’s a guaranteed invite to the party) and while I’m mostly self-taught, I feel extremely fortunate to have grown up around some passionate home cooks who always encouraged me to express myself in the kitchen.”
Emelia, who is dating her boyfriend Craig Gersbach, even gave away a spoiler that she makes it to the final with a simple selfie.
Posting to her Instagram stories, Emelia shared a photo of herself and Craig and captioned it “5 long months apart”.
Had she been eliminated, Emelia would’ve been reunited with him weeks or even months ago but due to their long separation, it’s thought she has made it all the way.
