Will there be a fifth season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives?
Right after the season three premiere, Deadline revealed that Hulu had ordered another 20 episodes of the show.
Half of those episodes made up season four, meaning a fifth season should be on the way.
However, production of the latest season has since been paused in the wake of an alleged domestic dispute between Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen.
Another of the show’s stars, Mikayla Matthews, revealed that it was a group decision to pause filming.
In an Instagram Q&A, a fan asked if filming was “actually on pause”.
Mikayla responded, “It was a decision that all us girls came up with and agreed on. We didn’t feel comfortable filming with everything that was happening.”
People reports that filming has come to a halt due to an ongoing “domestic assault investigation”.
The publication reported that the alleged incident occurred sometime in late February.
They added that “allegations have been made in both directions.”
Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette will no longer air
Taylor was set to appear in the newest season of The Bachelorette, which was meant to air on Stan here in Australia, but ABC announced on Friday that the show had been pulled from the schedule.
They did not say whether or not they will air it at a later date.
Stan confirmed to WHO that “The Bachelorette will no longer premiere on Stan on Monday”.
The news came after TMZ released 2023 footage of the alleged incident between Taylor and Dakota on Thursday.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” a statement from a Disney Entertainment Television spokesperson read.
Taylor shares a one-year-old son with Dakota.
