It’s official: Taylor Swift is a twenty-something no more! The songstress of the decade has entered her dirty 30s, and she’s done it in Style (sorry, we had to…)
WATCH: Tay’s got talent, but this had even her stumped…
The blonde bombshell rang in the big 3-0 on December 13, and awoke to heartfelt birthday messages from all her celeb pals – and we mean, like, literally everyone in Hollywood had something to say to the beloved babe on her big day!
“My T! 💛 An old soul celebrating 30 years here… and what a phenomenon you are,” wrote longtime bestie Gigi Hadid, alongside a sweet snap of the pair.
“It’s rare someone can be inimitable yet still make hearts feel at home with innate generosity. I love you and can’t wait to celebrate you sister!!!!”
Three of the Queer Eye Fab Five gushed about their bestie in rainbow-bright posts, sharing pics and treasured memories with the star.
“Happy 30th to this talented, sweet and humble woman. You make the world a better place,” shared interiors expert Bobby Berk.
“Becoming friends with you has shown me a strength & kindness that is v rare,” added Jonathan Van Ness. “You’re brave, smart AF, and the talent is next level & quite literally iconic. Grateful to know you & call you a frand!! Love you to pieces Queen!”
Antoni Porowski went for the quirk factor, captioning his pic: “HBD you Miss Americana card-shark Camden market-walking Ottolenghi-appreciating paper-jewelry-aficionado midnight-wanting someone-else’s-jacket wearing spaghetti limone-loving exceptional woman ❤️”
If you’re getting the feeling that Tay Tay is possibly the most beloved person in Hollywood, well… we think so too, because the birthday love just Kept. On. Coming.
“Happy birthday to my favorite resident loud persona,” tweeted Elizabeth Banks.
“Someone’s feeling 22 (+8),” joked Ryan Seacrest.
“You’ve kept an open heart when it wasn’t easy. You’ve stayed true to you and I couldn’t be prouder seeing you find your voice and standing firmly behind it,” shared Victoria Secret stunner Martha Hunt.
Even Hillary Clinton weighed in, sharing a snap of the singer at the Billboard Women In Music Awards on the last night of her twenties.
“Love this line from Taylor Swift, upon accepting her Billboard “Woman of the Decade” Award: ‘As for me, lately I’ve been focusing less on what they say I can’t do and more on doing whatever the hell I want,'” she posted. “Congratulations on the honor, Taylor (and happy birthday)! #gutsywomen“
And, in a move that shocked no-one, Lena Dunham hit Instagram with basically an essay about her mate!
“This woman is turning 30 today and what can I say,” wrote the Girls writer and star with a snap of Tay wearing a black baker-boy hat and oversized blazer, and cradling a kitten.
“She can cook a lasagna or a lemon drizzle cake. She can cut your cat’s nails gently and even knows the term ‘dew claw’. She can style an outfit, paint a birthday gift by hand, plan a day that feels like an hour. She can fix a broken heart (not just with her music but with her love and wisdom.) She can dance (both hot and goofy.) She can unite friends and send the best links of the week and also, oh I forgot, slay the forces of oppression for female artists and become an irreplaceable icon.
“When I met her more than seven years ago my opening line was ‘how are you enjoying twenty two?’ and she said ‘so far, it’s been magical.’ And that’s her approach to everything – she finds the magic even when it’s not magical and she uses that sense of optimism and nostalgia to fill all our lives with the same. Tay, I love you – more than we love caffeine, the real estate section or even – yes even – cats.
“Thank you for letting me watch you grow into this woman of wild grace. Oh, and you even look good in hats – none of it’s fair, but it’s all so wonderful.”
But while Swizzle could’ve taken a much-deserved day off for her b’day (or, ya know, a whole birthday week, which is kind of the go-to these days…), the hard-working muso spent her first day as a 30-year-old working hard!
Hitting the stage for the annual iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in New York City in a shimmery gold dress-and-boot combo, Tay kicked off her new decade with her usual performance gold.
“We are at Madison Square Garden and just being here with you feels really special,” she told the crowd. “Especially playing here for these crowds in New York there’s really nothing like you. So I had a choice. Where would I want to spend my 30th birthday? The answer is you’re looking at it. This is the first show of my 30th year of life.”
And there was cake. Like, serious cake action, featuring three tiers and cat pics. How very TayTay!
As well as treating fans to renditions of some of her classics (because, after 10 years in the biz, she definitely has ‘classics), including Blank Space, ME!, Lover and, of course, Welcome to New York, Taylor gave her first-ever live performance of her cheery new Christmas track, Christmas Tree Farm.
What a way to ring in her dirty thirties…
Happy birthday, Taylor!
