Big Brother 2026 is serving up some serious chaos this year, with the show’s first eviction causing quite a stir. From controversial contestants, housemate clashes, and ‘showmances’ to vulnerable moments and friendships, this season has been nothing short of iconic.
However, while this has provided some much-needed entertainment, many fans also have quite a few gripes with the series already.
Viewers are calling out production for not doing enough to prevent the “bullying” on the show, labelling 23-year-old Ebony’s behaviour as a “problem” that needs to be addressed.
This week, Harmon left the Big Brother house in shambles, appointing Ebony as the ‘Head Housemate’.
While he released some harsh truth bombs and opinions about his past housemates, calling Pam “old” and Ebony “fake”, he had a different story to tell when chatting to WHO after his eviction.

Big Brother fans divided over claims of ‘bullying’ on the show
Fans are divided over Ebony’s personality. While many believe it all to be an “act”, other viewers want the controversial contestant gone.
Recently, Ebony’s treatment of Anita and Kyrah has raised some eyebrows, and many fans have called out the double standard that’s taking place as they question how people would react if a man behaved like Ebony.
“I can’t believe the amount of bullying happening on the show this year!” one fan wrote online.
“Honestly, if my daughter or a family member went on national TV and behaved like Ebony, I’d be so embarrassed,” another agreed. “She is acting like a 14-year-old ‘mean girl’.”
“Exactly! If BB lets it continue, I might not be able to watch it,” a third chimed in. “It breaks my heart and gets me too upset to watch the way Kyrah is being treated. I believe I have cried over this every episode so far.”
However, not everyone agrees with the claims that “bullying” is taking place.
“I honestly feel like the world has gone soft,” one fan commented. “Head of house has done things in the past to make a joke and extra work for the workers. Also, I would not say there is bullying just different personalities and dry humour. It’s almost like people can’t have any fun these days, as so many people take offence to things and put a label on everything.”
“Lol, if Kyrah stood in front of me jumping up and down like an idiot, whilst telling me how to communicate, I’d not be happy either!!” another agreed, jokingly justifying her behaviour.
It’s this divide that has really sparked concerns among fans.
“How sad that so many are saying they don’t see ‘bullying’. This shows why it is such a problem,” one user pointed out. “Sad to think so many on here have no compassion. Australia should set an example for other countries, but no, we are coming in 2nd rate.”
“Her saying that the name-calling and threats are a joke- come on, absolute bulls–t,” another agreed. “Now if a male said or did it towards female housemates, or any housemate for that matter, everyone would be up in arms, including everyone who is saying she is entertaining. Great way to teach your kids it’s OK to treat another person the way Ebony does without consequences.”
Harmon reveals what Ebony is really like
While Harmon’s final message to Ebony would suggest he doesn’t like the contestant in the slightest, his comments to WHO tell a different story.
“She definitely warmed up,” he admitted. “When she was up for noms [nominations], her character, I don’t know, there’s a lot more depth to what you see with Ebony.
“She’s actually a pretty switched-on person.”
He also confessed that she was super easy and fun to hang out with, revealing a sweet moment the pair had in the house before his eviction.
“She even brought props onto the show about who she is and her character,” he told WHO. “And, yeah, outside the show, she makes music. And so she would make up little jingles in the house.
“There was one time in the kitchen, I would give her a few words, and I was like, ‘Oh, man, this is actually kind of good.’ It’d be a whole different melody and all different lyrics. And I was like, ‘Oh, it’s actually good. I think I will actually listen to it.'”
So, perhaps Ebony’s character truly is all an act. Either way, fans are holding out hope that her behaviour starts to change and that, no matter what entertainment she provides, no one continues to get hurt.
