The Masked Singer is off and running for 2022, with the fourth season of the strangest show on TV airing in early August.
We’ve already seen plenty of singing talent across the new season, as well as confusing clues, and many great reveals.
The masks have judges Abbie Chatfield, Dave Hughes, Chrissie Swan and Mel B stumped, with their guesses ranging from high-profile reality stars to even higher-profile actors – Hughesy even guessed David Hasselhoff might have taken to the stage.
Here, we’re rounding up the incredible talent who have left the show so far.
Ryan Moloney
The iconic Aussie actor has been very busy lately, filming and promoting the final episodes of Neighbours, which he starred on for upwards of 25 years.
But somehow, he found time to don a Headless Knight mask, giving a set of clues and a performance that stumped the judges.
They guessed the Knight could be Brendan Fevola, Shannon Noll, Nick Cummins, or David Hasselhoff, so were very shocked when Ryan appeared.

Lisa Curry
Australian gold medallist and swimming legend Lisa Curry was the second celebrity to be revealed underneath the Caterpillar mask!
She performed Cloudy Day by Tones and I, and after revealing herself to the panel, said “Caterpillars can’t sing … but they do turn into butterflies and that I can do!”
“SURPRISE!” Lisa wrote on Instagram after her big reveal.
“One of the best things I’ve ever done,” she added.
“Thank you @themaskedsingerau for inviting me to be part of this really fun show. And thanks to my vocal coach @garypintomusic …what a gem you are and a beautiful human. I ll teach you how to swim butterfly for the next Olympics 😂.”
Pia Miranda
Actress and reality TV legend Pia Miranda revealed herself from below the Thong mask last night, shocking both viewers and the panel.
It was a special surprise for Chrissie Swan, who revealed she had been close with Pia for years now.
Pia revealed that while she’d loved her time on the show, she couldn’t wait to watch it back with her kids and enjoy their surprise at seeing her beneath the mask.
“Thanks for the best time ever! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Also … RIP Thong 🥰🎤,” Pia wrote on Instagram.
“Massive shout out to all the wonderful people @themaskedsingerau and especially to the incredible @garypintomusic You are a legend ⭐️.”
Jamie Durie
Chrissie guessed it!
After Tiger’s performance of In the Air Tonight, the panellist guessed the famous landscape designer – only to be proven correct when he was later unmasked.
Taking to Instagram after the big reveal, Jamie reflected on his experience.
“I totally loved it ! Surrounded by such incredible talent! Thankyou everyone for your support 🙏🏽 I have a whole new respect for the art of singing ! Hope I did you proud @amekajane your the professional singer in the family! It’s all yours, Tiger is signing out.”
Emma Watkins
It’s two for two for Chrissie Swan, who has successfully guessed the identity of a second mask.
Former Wiggle Emma Watkins was under the Zombie mask, and her clues about loving ‘brains’ tipped Chrissie off – Emma is currently studying a PhD in integrating dance and Auslan for the screen.
Despite her star power, Emma admitted she was nervous to sing, given she had grown up a dancer, and only begun singing when she joined The Wiggles.
“I’m really nervous about singing. I grew up as a dancer, so I really only learned to sing through the Wiggles. I was always very afraid to sing in front of people, and so the idea of this show was absolutely perfect. I’m actually very grateful to Zombie and I owe her everything,” Emma told the panel.
“I’m so grateful to be here, honestly, and thank you so much for having me.”
Matt Preston
Coming in as a wildcard contestant, the Gnome only got to sing once before he was booted on home. He sang I’m A Believer by The Monkees, which wasn’t much of a clue in itself.
But once again, guessing queen Chrissie Swan was on the money, saying she’d dreamed about Matt Preston the night before.
“Well that was bonkers!” Matt wrote on Instagram.
“Thanks for having me @themaskedsingerau, thanks for guessing me psychic @chrissieswan,” he added.
Sam Sparro
Popcorn has been revealed! Last night, we found out that US-based Aussie singer Sam Sparro was underneath the cheerful-looking mask.
Sam shot to fame in 2008 with his hit electro-soul single Black & Gold and has continued to make music ever since, including writing songs for other artists like Adam Lambert.
And even though Chrissie Swan has been on a winning streak with her guesses, it was Mel B’s turn to correctly guess that Sam was under the mask.
“Well that was FUN! Thank you @themaskedsingerau for having me. I had a blast,” he wrote on Instagram.
Shannon Noll
The worst-kept secret in showbusiness was confirmed last night when Shannon Noll was revealed to be the voice beneath the Blowfly.
The reveal marked a correct guess for both Mel B and Abbie Chatfield.
“Well most of you guys were onto it already, but last night it became official that I was in fact the BLOWFLY on The Masked Singer,” Shannon wrote on Instagram.
“They were onto me pretty early,” he told Channel 10
“As much as you try and hide it, I’ve got a pretty distinctive voice.”
Michelle Williams
It was the mic drop of the season when Michelle Williams, former member of Destiny’s Child, was revealed to be beneath the Microphone mask.
The reveal marked another correct guess for Mel B, who claims she knew Michelle’s voice.
“I knew I knew that voice. I knew it … you’re amazing!” she told Michelle.
Michelle took the time to the panellists about her brilliant performance on the episode, singing Say Something by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera.
“It’s no secret I was engaged and it did not work out. I just remember those words. It kind of articulated this is what I’ve been wanting to say,” she revealed.
“It’s until you really emote it in full voice, it was almost like therapy. And so it just came out in that way. That’s what music can do to you when you just let it go.”
The Masked Singer is currently airing on Channel 10 and 10Play.
