If there’s one thing we can never turn down when scrolling through Binge – or any streaming service for that matter – is a good old-fashioned rom-com.
Luckily for us, there have been a slew of releases in the genre that we’ve been privy to, including, but not limited to, season two of Love Me, season two of How I Met Your Father, and the movie adaptation of Red, White & Royal Blue.
It’s safe to say our watch list is getting slightly out of hand, but who’s to say we can’t keep adding to it? Especially when it’s a sexy, funny, fight-y love story about two people who appear to be utterly wrong for each other – yet may just be utterly right.
Oh yes, we’re talking about none other than rom-com gold, The Lovers, which premiered on Binge last month and has an 89 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes with rave reviews.

“The Lovers has as much bite as it has heart, and serves as a reminder that rom-coms don’t have to exist in a made-up reality where everything works out simply because it has to,” one critic penned.
Another added: “Thanks to the extremely likeable central performances, the high quotient of goodish jokes and, above all, the infectious sense of everybody involved having a blast, the answer so far to the question “what’s not to like?” is… ‘nothing really.’”
With that, we’ve gone ahead and gathered everything you need to know about The Lovers, including where to watch all episodes now in Australia.

What is the new drama The Lovers?
When Seamus (Johnny Flynn), a well-known London political broadcaster, and Janet (Roisin Gallagher), a foul-mouthed supermarket worker from Belfast, cross paths in what is arguably the most chaotic of ‘meet-cutes’, things are never quite the same.
Throughout the season we see the two embark on a no-strings affair that might just lead to something more in this hilarious new romantic comedy, featuring witty dialogue and questionable morals (did we mention Seamus has a girlfriend?).
Who is cast in The Lovers?
Starring as our two love interests in this drama are Johnny Flynn (Beast, Emma) and Roisin Gallagher (The Fall, The Dry) as Seamus and Janet, respectively.

Joining them are Conleth Hill (Game of Thrones, Holding) as Janet’s boss Philip and Alice Eve (Belgravia, Star Trek Into Darkness) as Seamus’ girlfriend Frankie.
