In case you haven’t noticed, remakes are kind of having a moment, with the likes of Heartbreak High, The Little Mermaid, and now White Men Can’t Jump bringing back the 90s.
31 years after the original was released, White Men Can’t Jump is returning with none other than Jack Harlow in the lead, and judging by the trailer, it is most definitely poppin.
The film marks the rapper’s first official debut in acting, and in an interview with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe, Jack revealed just how much effort he put into scoring the role.
“I tried to be egoless during the audition, take notes, do what I had to do,” he said. “I just want to kill it. I just want to be good, and I want to do everything I can to make it good”.

What is White Men Can’t Jump about?
In this modern retelling of the iconic 1992 film, the streetball hustling culture of Los Angeles is celebrated with all the bouncing, dribbling and trash-talking you could imagine.
The film follows two young men, Kamal – once a promising player who derailed his future in the sport – and Jeremy – a former star of the game whose injuries stalled his own career – who are complete opposites and seemingly miles apart.
As per the official synopsis, juggling tenuous relationships, financial pressures and serious internal struggles, the two ballers find they might have more in common than they imagined possible.

Directed by Calmatic, the movie stars Sinqua Walls as Kamal, and multi-platinum rap superstar Jack Harlow makes his movie debut as Jeremy.
