They say that women are subconsciously attracted to partners who remind them of their fathers.
And social media followers are debating whether this is the case for Reese Witherspoon’s 19-year-old daughter Ava Phillippe, who made her relationship with her new boyfriend Insta-official over the weekend.

Ava’s followers were quick to pick up on her new beau’s resemblance to her actor dad Ryan Phillippe.
“He looks so much like your dad omg,” one person wrote. “Looks like a young Ryan wow,” said another.
Meanwhile one fan became particularly nostalgic. “That picture makes me remember when Reese&Ryan were together.”
In the picture, Ava – who is often lauded as a lookalike of her Oscar-winning mum, Reese – and her boyfriend can be seen cuddling up whilst on a night out at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery during one of Cinespia’s summer movie screenings.
However, the teen was quick to debunk any theories that her man looked like her dad. “He does not look like your dad,” one of her followers commented, to which she responded, “big thx.”
Big Little Lies star, Reese and Secrets and Lies actor, Ryan were married for eight years before splitting in 2007. The Cruel Intentions co-stars share daughter, Ava and son Deacon, 15.
Reese went on to marry Hollywood talent agent Jim Toth in 2011, with whom she shares son Tennessee, seven. Meanwhile Ryan shares daughter Kai, eight with Pitch Perfect star Alexis Knapp.
