One of the thieves who robbed Kim Kardashian in 2016 has spoken about the robbery and the conclusion seems to be ‘sorry, not sorry.’

In an interview with VICE, Yunis Abbas, who served two years for the crime, said he feels little guilt about the situation.

“She was throwing money away, I was there to collect it, and that was that. Guilty? No, I don’t care,” he told interviewer Tir Dhondy.

“They should be a little less showy towards people who can’t afford it. For some people, it’s provocative.”

Yunis and his gang, dubbed The Grampa Gangsters since many were in their 60s and 70s, stole US$10 million in jewellery from Kim’s Paris hotel room while she was tied up in the bathtub.

According to Yunis, Kim’s assistant attempted to alert the authorities but mistakenly called the US police.

“Madame Kardashian’s secretary called for help. But she called 911 in the United States, which scared us, which made them lose a lot of time,” Yunis said.

“When we got out, there was a bunch of police outside who didn’t know anything about the robbery.”

According to police, Kim pleaded for her life telling the robbers, “Don’t kill me, I have babies, don’t kill me, please, I have babies! I’m a mum! Take whatever you want!”

The thieves bound her wrists and ankles and when she started screaming they wrapped a piece of tape around her head.

They demanded money but Kim only had about US$1,000 in euros so instead they took her engagement ring and jewellery box.

On the effect the ordeal must have had on Kim, Yanis was typically blasé.

“You don’t come out of it unscathed,” he acknowledged,“Of course she must have been traumatised.”

The interview is not the first time Yunis has shown his complete apathy towards the event. Last year he published a memoir about the robbery titled, ‘I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian’.
