Are MAFS 2026 grooms Chris and Sam still together?

They came in late but are moving fast!

It’s not often when there’s a same-sex relationship celebrated on Married At First Sight but grooms Chris Robinson and Sam Stanton are one of our top couples of 2026.

As one of the three intruder couples, they may have arrived late to the experiment but started off as a very good match.

So have they made it work in the real world?

Sparks fly at Chris and Sam’s wedding

For the final wedding of 2026, Chris and Sam met at Jonah’s Restaurant & Boutique Hotel on Sydney’s Palm Beach.

With sweeping Northern Beaches views, sparks flew for the couple who bonded over their love of the great outdoors and how they both own fitness studios and gyms.

“When he put his glasses on I felt like crumbling to my feet. He’s so handsome and it was so cute and he’s a vibe. I loved it,” Chris confessed.

“We seem to really align, we almost said the same things. I’m very happy,” Sam said, adding that he could see a possible life together.

While Chris decided not to drop the bombshell that he was expecting not one, but two babies on their wedding day, he opened up during Intimacy Week and Sam was simply stoked for his husband.

“It’s such a big thing to accomplish in his life and I’m really proud of him,” Sam confessed ahead of their second dinner party.

Chris is officially a dad

In an interview with Today Extra in February, proud dad Chris announced that he and his friends, a lesbian couple, welcomed a daughter in late 2025, and is still awaiting the arrival of another child via surrogate in the coming months.

There was no mention of his on-screen husband but it’s safe to say Chris is loving his little girl.

“I love her so much and I get really emotional when I talk about her – it’s happening right now, I’ll try to contain it – I just love her so much, she’s got me wrapped around her little finger. It’s the best,” Chris gushed.

“I don’t know what [gender] the next will be. It’s a surprise, I’ve got a little girl and I just hope the next one is a happy and healthy baby, I don’t mind.

“Whether I’m a boy dad or a girl dad it doesn’t bother me but we do have a very happy healthy daughter.”

Are Chris and Sam still together?

While things were initially going smoothly for the couple on the show, their current relationship status has been confirmed and the pair has split.

In the end, conflicting communication styles and priorities became too much for the couple to overcome. The pair’s journey on the show slowly went downhill after Chris chose to “put [his] dad hat on and leave.” While a tearful Sam wrote “stay” and was committed to working through their differences, Homestays Week was not enough to patch this couple’s issues, resulting in both contestants calling it quits at the final MAFS commitment ceremony.

For fans wondering whether the pair are still amicable, Chris recently bought a home to flip, but despite messages of congratulations from a handful of the MAFS brides, his on-screen husband was silent.

Meanwhile Sam was caught on camera dancing topless on stage in his hometown of Adelaide at the Fringe Festival.

Friends or not, it seems these contestants are thriving and the show’s inevitable drama hasn’t set them back too far!
