The day after she married assistant director Tom Ackerley on December 19 at a secluded property outside Byron Bay, NSW, the Suicide Squad actress was at the centre of another party with friends and family.

At luxe $2,000-a-night private villa Bathhouse Newrybar—where some of the wedding party stayed—the newlyweds threw a recovery bash.

The afternoon get-together was “sooo loud,” a source tells WHO. “There were bikinis all round and a raucous game of pool volleyball. Super casual. Towels and swimmers. Pool games. Snacks, nothing formal.”

Not much was strictly conventional about Robbie and Ackerley’s wedding. The former Gold Coast girl, 26, shunned the idea of shredding for the wedding and kicked off her hen’s weekend on Dec. 16 at Bam Bam Bakehouse at Mermaid Beach.

The star and some girlfriends had “a masterclass of pastry,” said owner Ursula Watts, who added Robbie had a second party just as heavy on baked goods on Dec. 18 at a Gold Coast house. “So the girls were here where they got to hand make their doughs, shaping, filling, baking with lots of custards and cream-fills. Then they got to sit and eat hot pastries.”

As for Robbie’s dress, while there were early reports it was by Oscar de la Renta, a source said the cream lace off-the-shoulder gown was first worn 30 years ago by the bride’s mother, physiotherapist Sarie Kessler.

Just the week before the wedding, the source told The Courier Mail, a friend of Robbie’s called Gold Coast designer Casey Tanswell and set up an appointment. “(Tanswell) had been approached to do the alterations,” said the source. “She didn’t know it was Margot until she turned up at her home for the fitting.”
