Another year, another batch of Married At First Sight couples attempting to turn reality TV romance into something real. But let’s be honest—while some pairs seemed like they might just make it, others were already giving “this was doomed from the start” energy.
The couples may have said their final vows, but that hasn’t stopped breakups, scandals, and major spoilers from spilling into the real world. Some couples are holding strong, others have already thrown in the towel, and a few are keeping us guessing.
So, who is still going strong, who has split in dramatic fashion, and what do we know so far? Let’s dive into the latest MAFS 2025 relationship statuses.
		Lauren & Eliot
Not Together
It was short. It was messy. They’re both now ‘married’ to other people. Lauren and Eliot were one of the first couples to wed on this season of Married at First Sight…and were also one of the first to call it quits after Eliot had a change of heart one day after he met his bride.
Claiming she didn’t match his long list of prerequisites for an ‘ideal match,h’ Eliot left the honeymoon early, and the couple quit soon after. But, it wasn’t the end for these two after they re-entered the experiment as intruders, but this time they have been matched with different partners.
		Carina & Paul
Not Together
For a show aptly titled Married at First Sight, audiences were rightfully surprised to find out that Carina and Paul knew each other prior to the experiment. Not only had they dated eight months prior, but Paul had ghosted his future wife after just one date.
It wasn’t exactly the fairy tale start we expected, but in the weeks since, Carina and Paul went on to become one of the strongest couples of the season. Despite their romance trending in a positive direction in the early days, Carina and Paul’s relationship quickly turned sour after his violent outburst, and as they shared their final vows, Carina decided to call it quits.
“I can’t be with someone who makes me feel like I’m not enough, and no matter how hard I try, I can’t look at you in the same way,” she shared, adding, “Paul, I was yours you had me, and you ruined it, and now you’re going to have to live with that for the rest of your life.”
		Katie & Tim
Not Together
To be honest, we never had high hopes for these two. Their wedding started on the wrong foot and they never quite got back on track after Tim admitted Katie wasn’t his type. After an awkward few episodes where Katie was left alone, the two called it quits after their first commitment ceremony.
“I knew something was wrong at the wedding. I could see him in the distance wigging out,” Katie later told Nine. “I told him it would be in his best interest to take it day by day and just get to the commitment ceremony, and if we need to leave, then we could leave as friends, but instead, he decided to create a war path.”
		Jamie and Dave
Still Together
Jamie and Dave quickly become one of the fan-favourite couples of the season after their hilarious and chemistry-fuelled wedding.
While Jamie may have had some concerns regarding their romantic connection, the couple agreed to make it work during their final vows.
“I came here looking for something that could last, something worth holding on to, and with you, I believe that’s possible. Today, I choose us. Let’s give this a real shot. I want to leave here with you, and whatever comes next, I’m ready if you are,” said Dave.
		Sierah & Billy
Not Together
Despite a smooth start for this couple, Sierah and Billy have officially left the experiment after a ‘cheating scandal’ disrupted their relationship.
The emotional commitment ceremony saw Sierah admit she had “wronged people” after failing to be forthcoming about her secret dinner with Adrian and Tony. However, after they both wrote ‘leave,’ she revealed she regretted her decision.
“Hearing him out, I was treating him like the enemy. I could have tried harder. I was just so inside myself. I actually feel awful,” she said.
“I don’t regret my decision,” Billy replied. “I have been open and honest. We could have had these conversations earlier.”
		Awhina & Adrian
Still Together
Despite also being entangled in a cheating scandal, it appears Awhina and Adrian are still together…for now.
The pair have had a pretty tumultuous journey on MAFS, and staying true to their dramatic dynamic, their final vows were nothing short of an emotional rollercoaster.
While they may have both agreed that their long-distance relationship was probably not going to work, Adrian and Awhina quickly switched up their game, thanks to one smirk from Adrian.
After sharing an emotional but weirdly fliratious moment, the couple ended their split by saying they were staying together, with Adrian telling producers, “We’ll go out together, and I think we both know the situation and there’s no pressure to it.”
		Ashleigh & Jake
Not Together
For Ashleigh and Jake, Married at First Sight started off great. The couple seemed to hit it off and everything was seemingly going great…until the photo ranking challenge.
After Jake made comments about the appearances of other MAFS brides, Ash sought advice from her fellow participants – a move which Jake saw as a ‘betrayal.’
The commitment ceremony saw the pair disagree once more after Ash wrote ‘stay,’ and Jake opted to write ‘leave.’ Although this should have seen the couple participate in the experiment for another week, another argument the following day saw Jake pack his bags and leave the show for good.
		Rhi & Jeff
Still Together
For a second time this season, the Married at First Sight experiment matched two individuals who had previously dated. Despite their complicated past, Rhi and Jeff have quickly become one of the more solid pairings on the show, and during their final vows, the pair admitted to “falling in love” with one another.
“With all this being said, I can confidently say Rhi, I am falling in love with you. Rhi, you’re it for me. I choose you and I hope this is forever,” Jeff said.
		Morena & Tony
Not Together
After weeks of drama, Morena and Tony have finally opted to leave the experiment – but it didn’t come as a huge surprise to fans after Morena made some telling comments on air in the early weeks of the show.
The MAFS bride unexpectedly called into The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick early in the season to share some insights into her experience on the show. She went on to suggest her groom was still legally married and that her ‘edit’ was different to her experience.
After a bombshell reveal from Tony that he had hopes of having a child, the pair agreed to leave during the fourth Commitment Ceremony, in which Morena wrote “Good Riddance,” on her card.
		Jacqui & Ryan
Not Together
Jacqui and Ryan are another couple who have opted to ‘spoil’ their MAFS journey after the Kiwi bride took to Instagram to share some bombshell updates.
Despite their relationship running its course on-screen, fans knew early on in the season that the couple’s relationship was short-lived after Jacqui revealed she was now dating fellow MAFS contestant Clint (who is partaking in the experiment with Lauren). Messy!
		Beth & Teejay
Not Together
Despite joining the show late as intruders, Beth and Teejay found their rhythm, but despite the early days appearing smooth sailing, the couple left the experiement just before final vows.
“I don’t want to stand there, put on another dress like I did on my wedding day, pour my heart out to you, pour my emotions out to you for you to just reject me again,” Beth said.
Teejay also agreed that the couple’s relationship did not have a long-term future, and as they moved out of the apartments, they decided that their time together was over.
		Veronica & Eliot
Not Together
Rejoining the show as an intruder, Eliot has been given a second chance at love after he was paired with Veronica – but while it may have lasted longer than his first marriage, it wasn’t meant to be for the couple who chose to leave in the sixth commitment ceremony.
“I can leave knowing I really did give it my best shot,” Eliot shared during the episode. “We’re very different people, and I don’t think there’s any hope for this eventuating into anything more,” added Veronica.
		Lauren & Clint
Not Together
Lauren was also given a second chance at love after she rejoined the experiment with Clint. But once again, fans didn’t have high hopes for the couple after Jacqui seemingly revealed she was now dating the MAFS groom.
The pair went on to leave the experiment early and see how their relationship would work in their “natural environment,” however Clint shared with Nine that he soon came to the realisation that Lauren wasn’t meant to be “his person.”
