We already know about the drama that followed Michael Brunelli and Lauren Huntriss after MAFS, but has the primary school teacher just upped the stakes on his Instagram stories?
Since sharing what he really thinks about his ‘wife’ Martha Kalifatidis, MAFS Michael,27, has taken to Instagram to talk about what went on behind the scenes of Married at First Sight.
And he’s not holding back when it comes to those contestants who complain about how they have been portrayed on the show.
Answering fan questions during a Q&A Michael was asked whether producers “tell you what to say” on the show.
His comeback was clear: “No. Producers might suggest a way of wording something differently but at the end of the day we are all adults and aren’t held against our will until we say what they want.”
“Anyone who suggests otherwise is bitter at their own portrayal,” he swiped.
Was this a dig at former MAFS star Lauren Huntriss, who was majorly vocal about the reality TV show and accused producers of “feeding her lines” during filming?
Lauren, 31, who was matched with virgin Matt Bennett, 29, revealed to SMH she was forced to say she “was a lesbian” during a key scene where she revealed she’d dated women in the past.
“My producer was like, ‘Fantastic, great, however, we’re going to get you to re-enact that, say it again but use the word ‘lesbian’. I was like, ‘I’m not OK with that, I don’t want to use that word, I don’t label myself as a lesbian … It didn’t feel right,” she told the publication.
Primary school teacher Michael also responded to other questions from fans, where he revealed his cheeky side.
Confessing he found Martha to be the most annoying person on the show, he defended her preference for heavy make up and when asked whether it bothered him when he was getting ready with her, he responded: “I live for full glam.”
