The latest Instant Restaurant on My Kitchen Rules had more contestants clashing, just like the rest of the season.
While nurses Mary and Golden served up an incredible feast in the kitchen, the dinner table got into a debate about certain contestants lying about their feedback.
Krysten called Jane and Shane “dishonest” whenever talking face-to-face to the team who just cooked the previous night.
It’s safe to say this left Jane and Shane speechless, alongside some other teams who didn’t quite know how to step in and keep the peace.
However, apparently it wasn’t just Jane and Shane who were being “fake” in this way.
Speaking to WHO, Angus and Simon, and Tiffany and Giancarlo, dished on what it was really like to return to the dinner table after spending the previous night in the kitchen, exposing just how “dishonest” a lot of the contestants really were.
Fans slam Jane and Shane for lying
When the fight broke out between Jane and Shane and the rest of the contestants at the table, fans were delighted that the edit fact-checked the Blue Mountains couple with previous footage, particularly after they denied speaking so strongly.
“So have Jane and Shane got short-term memory loss?” one viewer wrote online. “This is the second time they’ve denied saying something they in fact did say. First, they denied saying there’d be ‘drama’ regarding the parmigiana, and now they’re denying saying they said Alisha and Deanne’s plates were ‘ironic.’
“Why lie? It’s more embarrassing for them that the show editors are showing flashbacks to prove they’re full of s–t. Own up to what you said; you’re grown adults.”
“Not doing themselves any favours,” another user agreed. “Making themselves look stupid.”
“That’s why I think they’re a bit fake. One never forgets if they speak the truth!” a third chimed in.

Contestants reveal everyone was ‘guilty’ of being fake
However, when it comes to sugar-coating the truth to the other teams’ faces, it turns out Jane and Shane weren’t the only culprits.
Angus and Simon revealed that when they returned from their Instant Restaurant, everyone was acting much nicer than their critiques spoken the night before.
“Looking back, that next night was really easy because everyone, I think, just lied to our faces,” Angus told WHO. “When Deanne and Alicia came back, they were like, ‘No, everyone was slagging off your food. We loved it.'”
“Yeah, you need Alicia and Deanne to cut through the rubbish,” Simon added.
Tiffany and Giancarlo had a similar experience after their successful cook, except that the contestants actually admitted to lying.
Dianne and Alisha confessed that they thought the Italian lovebirds were full of it and admitted to “eating their words” when they ate their food and were thoroughly impressed.
Angus also confessed that he didn’t even think the couple was Italian.
“That was actually a bit of a shock for us,” Tiffany said. “I didn’t realise that people thought that we were faking it and that people were talking so much smack about it behind our back, to be honest, because everyone was so nice to our face.
“It was interesting how everyone calls each other out because they’re all guilty of not fessing up to what they’ve said at the table or, you know, not being forthcoming with that information.”
