My Kitchen Rules has kicked it up a notch this season, with cooks from all over Australia serving up a range of dishes and flavours.
There have also been personality clashes, with controversial contestants arguing during the Instant Restaurants. Everything from yelling to walk-outs has happened around the table.
During Tiffany and Giancarlo’s Instant Restaurant on Tuesday night, the contestant chaos certainly returned, especially after Jane and Shane made a comment about how the $100,000 prize money wouldn’t be “life-changing” for them.
However, the detail fans are more focused on from the cook was a certain stray “rabbit bone” viewers are convinced was planted by producers for the drama.
Speaking to WHO about their cook, loved-up couple from Melbourne, Tiffany and Giancarlo, spoke about the “pressure” of the evening, and what it was really like to work with production on My Kitchen Rules.
“I think there was a little bit of pressure on my side, especially because those recipes are recipes that I grew up with,” Giancarlo said. “We did them our own way, obviously, but the pasta dish, we made up for the show.
“So there was some pressure there to see [if] people would like it. Obviously, using rabbit is unusual nowadays. It sounds crazy. But I grew up eating it weekly.”
Tiffany added: “Yeah, it was a bit polarising, wasn’t it?”

Fans label the rabbit bone a ‘set-up’
As Tiffany and Giancarlo were prepping and cooking, they hit a number of roadblocks. From an extra-long and indecisive grocery shop to their car breaking down momentarily, the time pressure was on.
As they were preparing their rabbit agnolotti, Giancarlo made a point of explaining how difficult — but essential — it is to remove all of the bones from the rabbit.
If that isn’t foreshadowing, I don’t know what is, because later in the evening, Deanne was unlucky enough to pull a rabbit bone from her pasta, one that seemed almost too big to be true.
At least, that’s exactly what fans think.
“There’s no way a bone that size found its way out of that piping bag unnoticed, I call BS!” one fan wrote online.
“That bone did not go through that piping bag and nozzle!!!” another agreed. “I’m done, watched tonight to give the show one more chance. Their dishonesty in production has lost this viewer.”
“There’s no way the bone went through the blender and then the piping bag without being noticed,” a third chimed in. “I’m actually feeling very disillusioned and disappointed right now. I love the show but that was so wrong.”
“How stupid do they think the public are??? An insult to our intelligence,” another user commented.
However, not everyone had the same perspective.
“I agree with what you’re saying,” one viewer said. “But neither of the judges made a big deal out of it. If it were for the drama, the judges would have made an issue out of it.”

Tiffany and Giancarlo reveal how ‘strict’ production is
While fans have been slamming production for orchestrating drama on the show, Tiffany and Giancarlo have admitted to just how “strict” and supportive the team are during the filming process.
“We definitely didn’t think it would be that many hours sitting at a table,” Tiffany told WHO. “That was definitely a surprise.
“And just how strict it is between the contestants and leaving the table, making sure that there’s continuity, you’ve just got to be so aware of all of that.
“But honestly, the production is mind-blowing. It’s amazing. We think the producers and everyone are just incredible for the way the show is put together — all the moving parts. It’s just really mind-blowing.”
