The Bachelor rose ceremony went live and Brianna went home

It was actually an emotional roller-coaster, okay?

Within the last five minutes of episode seven of The Bachelor Australia, we fell in love (with Brianna) and had our hearts broken (by Brianna… leaving the mansion).

Now, you might be saying, “Who tf is Brianna?”

And that would be fair, because the poor sweet girl didn’t really get any time to shine in the mansion. Until those last five minutes that we mentioned, when we finally got to see what all the other ladies had seen when the cameras weren’t rolling: a real sweetie just feeling awky as any of us would to be trying to fall in love in front of the country.

But we’re jumping the gun a bit. Let’s talk Live Rose Ceremonies.

So, basically, Osher showed up (which you know means bad news for someone in the house) and told the girls that a “live” ceremony was happening – aka, Matt would just cruise around the party giving out chats and roses and someone (or ones) would be put into a limo home by the end of the night.

“Throughout the course of the evening, Matt will spend time with each of you. And if, at the end of the night, you’re not holding a rose, you’ll leave the mansion.”

The horror.

Oh, and to spice it up even more, only Matt knew how many people he’d be crossing off his list of potentials that night.

A few of the girls were safe, having received roses over the course of the group date, and it became clear pretty quickly that Nikki Ferris and Brianna were in the firing line.

And Brianna was flipping out a teeny bit.

This is, like, the worst possible thing for me to do after a group date because I didn’t show the best of me. It was just awkward and an uncomfortable situation.”

She was referring to that super-awkward moment when she made it to the final two in the group date and had to write down/read out to Matt exactly what she was looking for in a partner… And all she could really come up with was “fun”.

“So yeah, just to give you a little bit of an insight into my qualities that I want in a relationship… One of them specifically, as you mentioned as well, was fun. Just lounging around playing ‘I Spy’… I think those kinds of things that are fun that I love to have.

“Aside from your compassion and your chemistry and everything, it’s just all about having a bit of fun. That’s pretty much me in a nutshell.”

Er… okay.

But skip to the ceremony and Bri let us (oh, and Matt) into her heart.

Unfortunately, Brianna’s lack of desire to plan anything more than a week in advance (pretty much ruling out wedding chat) has Matt walk her to the waiting car.

I think we are in a kind of different points in life… I have a harder time, I guess, seeing a future for us.”

“I do need to start making some really hard decisions about who I see a future with.”

Bri’s sad departure from the Bachie mansion came at the end of a full-on day, that saw Abbie Chatfield battle it out with Sogand Mohtat following an incredibly intense group date

Pulling Abbie – who’s had probably the most time with Bachie Matt Agnew since the show started – aside, Sogand let her have it.

Abbie is either a compulsive liar or she lies so perfectly she almost believes in her own lies,” she blasted to camera. “I’m over it.”

“I feel like you put on an act sometimes,” Sogand straight up said to Abbie’s face.

“At the end of the day, whether you’re being honest, real or whatever, we all want Matt to end up with someone that’s right for him. You’ve said certain things that have come back and bite you. So, like, just be careful.”
