As fans prepare for the season three finale of The Traitors, theories and predictions are running wild.
After some rash decisions and betrayals have left two faithfuls absolutely lost and two traitors walking on eggshells until one expose the other, fans have decided to flood the internet with their theories (and prayers) for who will come out on top in this ultimate game of deceit.
The theories are all centred around the two remaining traitors, Kirby Bentley and Rhys Nicholson.
Speaking to WHO ahead of The Traitors finale, Tully Smyth teased that it’s “going to be fun”.
“That’s one of my favourite things about The Traitors,” Tully confessed. “That it does have such a dedicated community. I love that I’m speaking to people from the UK and from America.
“The Traitors love is so global and it’s been so fun to be a part of it and to read everybody’s theories. Some are bang on the money, and then some are so far-fetched. I’m like, ‘Where did you even get that from?’ But no, tonight’s going to be fun.”
Fans are hoping for Rhys to ‘turn on Kirby’ in the finale
Kirby has played an outstanding game, particularly given she was accused of being a traitor in the very first episode.
After her fellow traitor originals – Alex Nation and Alvin Quah – were banished, Kirby recruited (or seduced, as the term is known) former faithful Rhys.

This decision received high praise from fans who have absolutely loved seeing the comedian bring their witty flair to a game that can very easily become intense.
While Rhys’ strategy as a traitor began as more passive, with the contestant very happy to follow Kirby’s lead, as the final days approached, Rhys started to doubt their partner in crime, suspecting that they were being used as a scapegoat for her victory.
Fans noticed this from the start, and as the finale teaser has promised fights and shock revelations, many fans are hoping that the comedian “turns the tables on Kirby” and claims final victory.
“Come on Rhys – get her before she gets you,” one fan wrote online. “You know that is what she is planning.”
“All the while I love Kirby, I also love Rhys,” another replied. “It’s a dilemma with me.”
“Please please please Rhys HAS to win this, they’ve been SO good on this, vote split, divine intervention, SOMETHING!” a third commented.
“I really hope Rhys turns on Kirby,” another revealed. “Probably the only satisfying result this season could have for me is Rhys solo winning.”
Rhys Nicholson was the contestant who took everyone by surprise
It turns out it wasn’t just the fans that have been utterly obsessed with the Drag Race Down Under judge.
When asked which contestant took them most by surprise, almost every banished or murdered cast member from The Traitors said Rhys’ name.
Both of the Packham twins described Rhys as “brilliant”.
“Rhys is a comedian by trade, stands up, commands a room,” Luke Packham told WHO. “It’s very hard to be a comedian and put yourself in that position. And at the round table, they said a little bit, but not too much; they didn’t want to command the room.
“I really respected how Rhys has played the game.”

“I honestly would say Rhys Nicholson is the most iconic person I’ve ever met in my entire life,” Rachael Evren told WHO. “Everyone was tired, everyone was just really feeling it, but they showed up with a positive attitude every single day, cracked a lot of jokes, made everyone laugh, and I think their ability to see the light in every dark situation is so brilliant and so beautiful.
“I think they are so deserving to be there at that point.”
