MAFS 2026 groom Steve Powell is this season’s silver fox.
His charming smile and friendly demeanour certainly impressed his bride Rebecca Zukowski but there were some special people missing on his wedding day.
As a proud dad to four daughters, fans were surprised that none of them there unlike Rebecca’s son Austin.
Family man
On the show, Steve spoke openly about his four girls who are “almost 18, 14, 12 and almost seven” and how he’s “super close with all of them.”
“My relationship is super strong and we speak almost daily,” he told Rebecca on their wedding day.
Rebecca was impressed and mused, “I love that he’s got four daughters. I always wanted a bigger family so I wanted to marry someone that had children.
“How he speaks about them is really strong and authentic so that says a lot about Steve and his character as a person.”
Why weren’t Steve’s daughters at the wedding?
Whilst it hasn’t been confirmed, there’s one reason why all four were not there to support their dad.
Since all four are still under 18 and therefore still minors, they most likely weren’t at the wedding to protect their privacy.
There are hardly any photos of them on Steve’s social media either, except one shared in September last year though the little girl’s face is hidden.
Since Rebecca’s son Austin is 19-years-old and since he’s legally an adult, was able to make his own decisions about appearing on MAFS.
Bonding with Austin
On his and Rebecca’s wedding day, Steve made an effort to chat with her son.
“Just so you know, I’m a decent guy. What you see is what you get,” the groom told his pseudo stepson.
Later in a piece to camera, Austin admitted that “Steve seems like a lovely guy.”
“He’s charming, he’s nice, they seem to have clicked and had a great time together,” he said, adding that he feels quite “hopeful” of the relationship.
However, after some sleuthing it appears that Austin and Steve don’t follow each other on social media. Though this could be for a variety of reasons from privacy to not letting any spoilers slip through.
Are Steven and Rebecca still together?
There are some signs on Rebecca’s Instagram that may suggest things have moved in a positive direction for the couple.
In a post shared on November 22 last year, Rebecca shared photos captioned, “Life lately,” one showing a man serving dinner with his face hidden from view…
In another post shared on November 29, Rebecca posted a photo of a plate of food with the caption, “Can cook.”
Gia Fleur, who also appears on this season of MAFS, commented, “She’s a wife.”

On December 16, Rebecca shared another series of images, captioned, “My WORLD,” with a red love heart emoji.
In one of the photos, a man’s hand is seen grabbing a piece of food off a plate.
Rebecca captioned it, “His hand,” with a laughing emoji, which seems like an odd photo to share if it wasn’t meant to keep someone’s identity a secret, right?
So, while we don’t have concrete proof, we are hopeful for Steve and Rebecca, given these clues, but the only way to be certain is to stay tuned…
