After Chelsie McLeod subtly hinted Matt Agnew cheated on her during their six-month-long relationship, hundreds of fans have since speculated Abbie Chatfield was the reason behind their shock split.

However, in an unexpected yet necessary Instagram rant, The Bachelor runner-up just put those rumours to bed, slamming a local Australian publication for branding her a “homewrecker”.
“Hey! This is completely false,” she wrote on her Instagram Story alongside a screenshot of the magazine’s article.“Stop writing sh*t like this and driving forward the narrative that I’m a ‘homewrecker’ or a ‘man stealer’ because it makes people click and hate me more. 🙂 thanks.”
Although Abbie maintains her contact with Matt ended when he dumped her during the final rose ceremony, Chelsie was actually the one to spark speculation infidelity spelled the end of her short-lived romance.
After their co-star and close friend, Jessica Brody, shared two photos showing her holding a red rose with a caption which read, “Me ➡️vs.➡️ Me when he tells me I’m the only girl he’s talking to,” Chelsie replied with a comment that’s left everyone convinced Matt was secretly doing the dirty on her.
“🌹 triggereddddddd,” the chemical engineer wrote, later adding: “Triggered is an understatement to be fair.”
To make matters worse, a source recently revealed Matt knew from day dot that his relationship with Chelsie would never stand the test of time.
According to New Idea’s source, the 32-year-old knew after one of the first rose ceremonies he didn’t intend to choose any of the women vying for his heart, however, a strict clause in his Network 10 contract prevented him from pulling a Honey Badger.
“He wanted to choose no-one, but obviously it was in his contract that he had to choose someone, so producers pushed him to pick Chelsie because she was the safe bet,” the source dished. “If it happened two years in a row, the whole franchise would be done.”
As per the insider, Matt was forced by producers to give scientist Chelsie the final rose, promising to stay with her until The Bachelor finale played out on our screens.
“If they announced their split during Angie’s season, it would have put a bad taste in viewers’ mouths and could have impacted the ratings. So, he was made to keep the act up and do the required media rounds with Chelsie until Angie’s season had finished airing.”
