Australian Survivor fan-favourite, Luke Toki has delivered an emotional message to fans after over $250, 000 was raised in 24 hours for the father-of-three.

During an appearance on Tuesday night’s The Project, Luke thanked fans for the overwhelming donations.

“It’s extremely humbling,” he said, adding, “Much love to everyone that’s donated.”

The GoFundMe page was set up by Australian Survivor superfan Dave Skow, with the goal of raising the $500,000 prize money that would have gone to Luke had he not been eliminated from the competition on Monday night.

“With two young sons with autism and a baby girl with cystic fibrosis, $500k would be a life-changing amount for the Toki’s,” Dave wrote in the GoFundMe’s description.

“Whilst Luke stumbled near the finish line and was voted out in the top four, true Survivor fans will recognise that he is the greatest Australian player ever to grace our screens,” he continued.

“So let’s rally behind this Aussie legend and change this awesome young family’s life.”

Luke previously admitted he had a very special reason for signing up to the show for a second time. The father-of-three has two boys who are both on the autism spectrum, while his baby daughter, Madeline, born just six weeks before Survivor started filming, has cystic fibrosis.

Following his elimination – after ally Pia voted him out at the final hurdle – Luke took to Instagram to speak about his time on the show.

“What an emotional journey this time round was…” he wrote.

“I believed I could win and fell short again, FML.”

He continued: “Well played to the remaining three castaways… You all deserve to be there. This game is brutal… To all the fans, I’m sorry I couldn’t get it done. Just know I appreciate all the love and keep creepin’.

“Thanks to Mary Toki for looking after our three kids while I went back… You the star.”
