Is Married At First Sight bride Aleksandra Markovic having doubts about her TV husband?
WATCH: Aleks isn’t sure Ivan is the guy for her…
The brunette beauty was pretty unimpressed with the way Ivan Sarakula, 30, handled himself at the first dinner party of the season, after he found himself in the middle of drama with controversial bride Hayley Vernon.
And she wasn’t shy about expressing her feels at the first commitment ceremony on February 16.
“I don’t want to be the laughing stock of the group,” she admitted.
Saying the real estate agent had acted immaturely, Aleks was quick to make it clear she’s not interested in dating a man-child.
“I don’t want to come here and change my husband, he is who he is,” she began.
“But I don’t want to mother someone either. I don’t want to always be thinking, ‘What’s going to come out of his mouth next?'”
Yikes!
Strangely, Ivan seems to be a completely different person with his wife than he is with other people – and that’s what has Aleks so worried.
“This is what I find so bizarre. This is not the person he is to me,” she explained.
“I can, hand on heart, say no man has ever treated me the way Ivan has treated me in this short period of time. But which person is he? Is he going to be that respectful gentleman? Or is he going to be that disrespectful person that treats other people this way?
“And I have to figure out, which way his he going to end up treating his wife for the rest of our lives?”
Sounds super stressful, tbh!
Awkwardly, the 26-year-old also seemed to suggest that she’s not physically attracted to her man – who seems to be firmly in the friend zone already.
“I think he’s very attractive, but he’s not my usual type,” she told the relationship experts John Aiken, Mel Schilling and Trisha Stratford, adding she goes for “tall dark and handsome. [Ivan’s] tall…”
Everyone laughed. Ivan died a little bit inside.
“He’s handsome!” she added after a way-too-long pause. “Two out of three!”
While this duo seem well suited in many ways, it seems Aleks isn’t too fond of the rest of her MAFS buddies, admitting she’s cut ties with almost everyone from the show since filming finished!
When asked how many people she’s been in contact with since filming wrapped, the real estate agent told Nova 96.9’s Fitzy and Wippa: “Not many.”
She implied that a series of intense feuds eventually led her to “disliking” them.
“I mean, hate’s a strong word,” she replied when Fitzy asked if there’s “hatred” there.
“But definitely dislike.”
