Last year, Princess Eugenie revealed that her royal wedding at St George’s Chapel to Jack Brooksbank was going to be a plastic-free affair, and the environmentally-conscious royal is still committed to fighting the war on single-use plastic.
On Tuesday, the 29-year-old took to Instagram to confirm her ongoing commitment to the cause, showing her support for Project Zero, an environmental charity that focuses on protecting marine life.

On Tuesday, the 29-year-old took to Instagram to confirm her ongoing commitment to the cause, showing her support for Project Zero, an environmental charity that focuses on protecting marine life.
“This month of July is Plastic FreeJuly. As an Ambassador of Project Zero, I’ve been working to raise awareness of the consequences of single-use plastic,” the Princess of York wrote.
“I’m committed to ending my use of it and to do my part to clean up our beautiful world and oceans. I hope we can all do the same. What a joy to work with such a dedicated team @weareprojectzero#passonplastic.”
Eugenie previously revealed she and Jack have a plastic-free home.
“My whole house is anti-plastic now, and Jack and I want our wedding to be like that as well,” she told British Vogue.
And Eugenie isn’t the only member of the royal family keen to raise awareness about environmental issues.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they will be highlighting the work of environmental charities – after showing their support for LGBTQ issues in June.
“We are jeopardising this beautiful place we call home – for ourselves and for future generations,” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wrote on their @sussexroyal Instagram account.
“Let’s save it.
“Let’s do our part.”
