It was announced this week that Australia’s very own pop princess Kylie Minogue has been enlisted for a private performance by Anthony Pratt, and she’s receiving a hefty sum. This announcement follows the exciting release of Kylie’s very own Barbie collector’s doll which went on sale in February 2026, and is fitted in the outfit taken from her iconic Padam Padam era, dressed head to toe in striking red.
It’s safe to say Minogue is definitely having her moment, with the brand deals and cheques to prove it.
While it’s unknown the exact sum she’ll be paid, it’s reportedly to be at least a couple million. Ca-ching!
While billionaire funded private performances are not out of the ordinary, they’re something the rest of us could only dream of making happen.
I guess when you have cash to burn, you really can just “call Taylor up!”.
Kylie Minogue’s private performance for Anthony Pratt
Anthony Pratt (one of Australia’s richest men, the chairman of Pratt Industries, and the packaging and recycling business Visy) is flying Kylie Minogue to Melbourne to perform at his private soiree in March this year (The AFL circa 2023 is reeling right now…).
According to the Herald Sun, Minogue will perform a 90-minute set at the corporate gig, with audience members consisting of Visy shareholders, as well as business and political friends of Pratt.
With over 300 guests set to attend this exclusive event, this Aussie pop star’s attendance will only increase demand for an invite.

In 2024, Katy Perry was also paid by Pratt to perform at his company’s event, earning herself a whopping $1.5 million.
If this sum wasn’t enough to make you cry, it’s been rumoured by industry insiders that Kylie will be receiving even more, with numbers falling into the several millions.
However, when it comes to privately funded celebrity performances, Kylie and Katy are not alone.
Billionaires continue to pay A-list stars for private performances
From Katy Perry and Rhianna to Kylie Minogue and Beyonce, it seems like private performances are becoming the hottest new trend for billionaires with far too much money.
We looked back at some other stand-out performances from the music industry’s most sought-after artists.
Rhianna’s iconic wedding performance
Rhianna also cashed in millions of dollars for a single performance in 2024 at a billionaire’s son’s wedding.
The globally-adored Barbadian pop and RnB icon broke the internet with her reportedly $9.5 million AUD performance at a private wedding in Jamnagar, India.
The singer, who, before this wedding, had not performed since her 2023 Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show, kicked off three days of wedding ceremony celebrations for the now-married couple Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
Anant is the youngest son of Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani and a director at Reliance Industries, while his wife Radhika Merchant is the daughter of pharmaceutical tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant and a director at Encore Healthcare.
Their July wedding was truly *the* wedding of the season, with Rhianna’s highly publicised private performance acting as the mere icing on an already lavish cake.
If the performance wasn’t blowing up your feed two years ago, Rhianna performed a 19-song set, which included iconic tunes like “Bitch Better Have My Money“, “Umbrella“, “Pour It Up” and “Rude Boy”.
Oh, and she sang all of these songs with fireworks going off behind her. Iconic.
