Bachelor winner Irena Srbinovska has wished her boyfriend, Locky Gilbert, a very happy birthday with a sweet, heartfelt message as he turns 32.
“Happy birthday to my love!” the nurse penned on Instagram.
“You have been my absolute rock over the last year, you’ve held my hand and supported me, you have carried me when I couldn’t walk, you make me laugh when all I want to do is cry and most of all you have loved me unconditionally,” she added.
“You deserve the world my love, wishing you a very happy birthday and don’t forget to make your wish ❤️.”
Fans and followers shared the birthday love in the comment section.
“This is so beautiful ❤️❤️,” one wrote.
“Happy Birthday Locky! 🎂🎉🥰,” another said.
“Such a beautiful couple 🥰 happy birthday @locklangilbert, no doubt @irena_srbinovska will spoil you ♥️🤍 every day must feel like your birthday with your girl! Xx” another shared.
Locky picked Irena as his winner on last year’s season of The Bachelor, and the two came out as a strong couple.
Although their finale was laced with drama, with Locky telling both Irena and his runner-up, Bella Varelis, that he loved them, the couple seemed to have weathered many highs and lows since and remained very much in love.
They revealed to WHO earlier this year that Irena had suffered a miscarriage in the early months of their relationship.
“Locky was my absolute rock and having his support made me love him even more,” she told WHO.
The pair have also had to contend with online bullying.
“We are just normal people and while we put ourselves in the spotlight, you never know what is going on in our lives that day,” Locky told WHO.
“If you have to say something, then direct it at me, not my girl.”
Locky and Irena have spent the majority of their relationship thus far travelling around Australia together, which Irena called “a crash course in getting to know each other.”
The pair are now settling in Perth, where Irena will return to nursing, and Locky is looking to open an adventure-based business.
The 2020 Bachelor previously worked as an adventure guide in Bali but is unable to get back there due to COVID-19 restrictions.
