MAFS groom Sam Ball debuts shock new transformation

Cue jaw-drop.

Former Married At First Sight bad boy Sam Ball has returned to Instagram to share a very dramatic new look.

Over the past six months, the 27-year-old deactivated his social media accounts in an effort to focus on his fitness regime and “beat the isolation blues.” But it isn’t just his beefed-up body that has fans talking.

The reality show’s season six star has traded in his signature beard and styled ‘do for a shiny bald noggin.

“If you see me less, I’m doing more,” he captioned the selfie, in which he can be seen posing in a mirror, showing off his chiselled jaw and freshly shaved head. The tailored navy suit and tie combo is also a far cry from his usual threads, with the tradie usually rocking activewear and a bare-chest.

In his last post, dated May 13th, Sam announced he would be taking a hiatus from the platform to throw himself into “new opportunities.”

“I’ve had some amazing life opportunities fall into the palms of my hands, literally, so I’m going to put 110 per cent of my efforts into these opportunities and delete or deactivate Instagram,” he said.

“I don’t need or want Instagram. I don’t make money from it and I certainly at the moment I do not have a business using Instagram for so there’s no need for it currently.”

Earlier in the year, Sam – who currently works at a bottle shop in Coolangatta – told Daily Mail Australia that he had been training twice daily to get in the best shape of his life.

“I have bought lots, so now I have my own gym set up at home, and other days I improvise outdoors,’ he said. “Ill reach [my goal] in a few months, it’s just for myself. I love it, so I’m just enjoying the process.”

Not all, however, are loving his buff physique. Some of his followers previously commented on his before and after pics writing he looked “better” before hitting the squat rack. At the time, he responded to the backlash, saying:

“I haven’t read or seen the comments but I’m enjoying helping others with motivation and spreading positive vibes on socials and through messages.”

“I just love being healthy and active, so if it helps others get motivated in these times, even better! But doing it for me as it’s what I enjoy.”

Sam gained notoriety in 2018 when he famously fat-shamed his on-screen wife Elizabeth Sobinoff on their wedding day, claiming he’d “never dated anyone as big.”

When Lizzie proceeded to lose 10kg in the months following filming, Sam praised her for making a change to her diet.

“Health and fitness is huge, good on Lizzie for going down that path and living a healthy lifestyle. It’d benefit anyone! It’ll affect your work life, sex life and mental state. Being healthy is huge on your body,” he said in an interview with WHO.
