The MAFS ‘lash-out’ that pushed bride Bec to leave

Are fans finally fed up with the drama?

The latest episode at the MAFS couples retreat brought out old skeletons, three dramatic exits and poor language that keeps returning to our screens this season. While Rachel and Bec were determined to put this feud behind them at the start of the episode, apparent “girls’ girls” Gia and Juliette had other ideas, only adding more fuel to the fire.

Fans are flooding comment sections online with their thoughts on the drama, and while no one can agree on who’s to blame for the derailed couples retreat, the one thing everyone has had enough of is MAFS brides weaponising the ‘girls’ girl’ excuse.

What derailed the MAFS couples retreat?

If you’ve been taking a break from the drama lately, let me enlighten you.

At this week’s infamous couples retreat, bride Bec make a poorly timed joke about Rachel’s increased intimacy with Stephen, flippantly congratulating them on their “fingerb–g” in a speech to the whole group.

However, Rachel never said those words to anyone, and since her and Steven’s intimacy has been a sore spot for the bride throughout the experiment, she did not take Bec’s joke lightly.

Bec’s apology (which wasn’t enough for Rachel and, honestly, fans as well) quickly spiralled into a feud that blew up the retreat, with brides Gia and Juliette banding together to stoke the fire even more.

In the end, an “isolated” Bec broke down during the final night of retreat after a one-on-one chat with Rachel went wrong, Rachel stormed out of the evening (twice!), Joel tried to reduce tension with his “teddy” (named, “Teddy”), and Juliette called Bec a “c–t”.

Even Gia said the comment took things too far.

Now, Bec doesn’t know if she has it in her “to do the experiment” anymore, with the episode ending with her and husband Danny dashing from the retreat in the dark of night, looking for greener pastures in a hotel.

Fans are sick of these ‘fake girls’ girls’

When it comes to Gia and Juliette, fans are resolute that they are not in fact the “girls’ girls” they claim to be, particularly since it was the pair that pushed everything off course just as it looked like white flags were being raised.

“I think I’ll lose my mind if I hear “girl’s girl” from Gia’s mouth once again to justify horrible behaviour,” one user commented.

Even after Juliette’s “lash out” at Bec where she called her the c-word, Gia stood by her, saying that she’ll “back her but maybe not her language.”

Unfortunately, actions speak louder than words and fans are now over Gia and Juliette’s “bullying” behaviour”…if they weren’t already.

“Why does Juliette think its normal/okay to lash out at people when she is in a bad mood and upset?” one fan questioned. “She’s saying it like she’s proud of it.”

“Why are you on air nationally bragging about a MAJOR character flaw????”

As Bec’s future on MAFS hangs in the air, fans are gearing up for yet another dinner party that is sure to bring, yet again, more crash-outs and confrontations.
