Happy MAFS Homestays week! Tonight, fans got to see how well the MAFS contestants would survive together in the real world, and (surprise surprise) it’s not looking great for some.
As they live together outside the safety of the MAFS apartments and mingle with each other’s friends, this week is when the committed prove themselves and the weaker couples get a rude wake-up call.
One couple became the centre of the drama (and our group chats) as Scott opened up about “walking on eggshells” around Gia, with the groom admitting he struggles to be honest with Gia in fear she’ll lash out.
However, Gia claims that’s not what happened at all, telling WHO he was actually telling her one thing and producers another.

Gia said Scott ‘gaslit the f— out of [her]’ behind the scenes
As Gia walked around Scott’s Gold Coast apartment and criticised it’s size, neatness and contents (we’re looking at you pink pillow), Scott told producers that he didn’t feel like he could open up to Gia about what he was really thinking.
This opinion was also expressed by Scott’s friends as they feared Scott and Gia were moving too fast towards a future only Gia had control over.

It’s something fans have already noticed about Scott.
During Feedback Week, Scott didn’t voice his concerns to Gia about their relationship, even holding back when pressed by experts on the couch.
It seems like Homestay Week will be no different.
“I feel bad for him,” one fan commented online. “He was obviously trying and was obviously scared of her. He said he isn’t normally like that but he isn’t normally trapped either.”
Speaking with WHO, Gia said these fears of Scott were a “complete blindside” and that he “never voiced any of these things” to her.
Gia said Scott “constantly reassured” her that they “were good.”
“We spoke after voxies,” Gia said, referring to the off-camera interview moments audiences see. “He would say ‘I’ve said this and that’ so that I [Gia] would be nice… I was doing everything he wanted behind the scenes, and then he would go on voxies and totally lie.”
“He gaslit the f— out of me.”

Gia claims ‘fans are only seeing’ her ‘bad side’
Gia blamed the MAFS producers for her villain edit and, while she did admit that her behaviour shown on air was definitely not her finest, “fans are only seeing the bad side of [her].”
“They’re not showing so many scenes that were beautiful of me being a good friend, speaking out about gay rights, and speaking about being a mother,” Gia continued.
