Farmer Wants a Wife still hasn’t started this year despite the show usually airing in April, and it’s safe to say fans are mad. However, there’s more than one reason that viewers are already turned off this season.
With five of the “hottest farmers ever” confirmed for this year, Channel 7 has been slowly feeding audiences content of the upcoming season, getting fans both excited and impatient.
The show sees women sign up to be the potential wives of farmers across the country looking for love.
This rural Bachelor spin-off has one of the highest success rates in Australia for a reality show about finding love, and the upcoming 16th season will see five farmers ranging from 24 to 41-years-old looking for their soulmate.
However, the show may be on shaky ground as fans have expressed concerns over spoilers and delays in the release date, making loyal fans second-guess whether they want to tune in.
Trouble in the outback? Perhaps.
Let’s just hope whatever mishap that’s delayed production hasn’t left these poor, hot farmers high and dry.
What has been spoiled on Farmer Wants a Wife so far?
Despite not releasing an air date yet, Channel 7 has continued to release promotions and teasers for the upcoming season.
In a teaser about farmer Alex (who has already been donned “the romantic”), the video more or less shows the farmer’s entire relationship with a contestant, from love at first sight, to first kiss, to shocking twist.
While the video was meant to get fans excited for the highs and lows to come, instead, it’s left audiences angsty and disappointed.
“Will anybody please share when it is starting?” one fan wrote online. “April has been and gone.”
“I’m so annoyed with how much they’re showing from the show and it hasn’t even started yet,” another commented. “I don’t even feel the need to watch it, because I’ve seen so much advertised already.”
“Why keep advertising it and not show the date it starts,” another commented in agreement.
It’s clear Channel 7 is drop hungry fans content to make up for the delayed start date.
However, reality TV fans are often stubborn and persistent, so there’s only so much waiting the show can expect.
When will Farmer Wants a Wife air?
Farmer Wants A Wife has premiered in April for the last three seasons. However, this year, there’s been a delay.
While fans expected FWAW to air around the end of April (or at least announce the start date by this time), the predictions were sorely mistaken.
Now, the premiere date for the reality TV show, while still expected to be soon, is up in the air.
