Taylor Swift put her personal troubles aside recently, for a terminally ill fan who needed her help.
Swift, 26, might be currently embroiled in the midst of a break-up with ex-boyfriend, Tom Hiddleston, 35, but that didn’t stop her from responding to a call-out on social media by her 18-year-old terminally ill fan, Meghan Hils.
Hils’ father Dan – an American police sergeant – reached out to the Dream Foundation who make dying children’s final dreams come true. His calls went unanswered at which point he took to social media, where his plea for a phone call from Taylor Swift for his daughter was shared over 2,500 times.
Meghan had requested a phone call with Swift, or her two other favourite talk show celebrities, Ellen Degeneres or Jimmy Fallon. Swift responded to the call out and so spoke with Hils on Facetime for around half an hour, making the teen’s dream come true.
She later took to her Facebook page to sincerely thank Swift for the life-changing experience, saying, “The words thank you will never be enough to say to Taylor Alison Swift for this day & taking the time to video chat with me for 29 minutes on September 8th, 2016,” she wrote. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Taylor.”
