When Bryce asked the law graduate— who was memorably icy towards "stranger" Michael at their wedding reception— to explain, she said her ex-partner has mutual friends with the commercial ice company director.
"So his friends are mutual friends with my ex and that, yeah," she explained, adding she'd "never met him" prior to filming the dating experiment.
During the same Instagram live video, Stacey dished on how Channel Nine punished her for breaking the terms of her strict contract, claiming the network's behaviour
"I didn't like the way they were talking about my life in the media. And they were allowing other contestants to talk about my personal life and drag certain people through the mud who didn't sing up to the show.
"They were meant to support our mental health and have my back, and I felt like they didn't, and they weren't helping me. And that they were allowing other contestants to get away with certain things. I thought, 'This is the part that I take back control and let you guys (viewers of the show) see me for who I am.'"
In an act of rebellion, Stacey locked Nine producers out of her Instagram account and refused to post promos for the show. She also went on to do two unauthorised interviews and revealed key plotlines with fans before they had aired.
Speaking seriously about her new career venture, Stacey hinted the organisation will help raise money and awareness for those battling with mental health issues.
"I've got a lot of good friends [around me] and I'm focusing on my children, my career and what I want to do next. I want to do something good out of all of this and start a charity. It's a non-profit charity that I'm launching hopefully by the 1st of July."
Hoping to educate the fan base she's scored since appearing on the controversial dating experiment, Stacey continued: "I want to do something with my platform. I don't want to just sell teeth whitening stuff. Melbourne is where I'm setting up my not-for-profit, that's why I'm regularly there. I think Melbourne has a lot more to offer [than Adelaide]."
