Between Kanye West‘s recent hospitalisation and Kim Kardashian West‘s traumatic Paris robbery in October, it’s undoubtedly a difficult time for the couple. But despite the strain, a source close to West denies that a split is imminent.
“This divorce stuff is completely false,” the insider tells WHO. “Kim does not have any plans to divorce Kanye. She’s told me it’s false. The picture that’s being painted is that she is planning on leaving him because of the robbery and this [hospitalisation] incident.”
West, 39, was hospitalised at UCLA Medical Center for exhaustion and sleep deprivation shortly after he canceled the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo tour November 21, and remained there over the Thanksgiving holiday. He was released from UCLA last week.
Though Kardashian West, 36, was a constant presence by her husband’s bedside while he remained hospitalised, an insider told WHO she was “overwhelmed” by the situation and concerned about West’s relationship with their children, North, 3½, and Saint, who just turned 1.
As they work through marital frustrations, a Keeping Up with the Kardashians source tells WHO that despite reports that Kanye had returned home to the family after his hospitalisation, the couple are currently living in separate households for medical reasons.
“Kanye isn’t at home with Kim and the kids,” the source says. “He is instead receiving outpatient care elsewhere with a medical team. Kim still seems concerned but is supportive. They don’t know for how long Kanye will need outpatient care.”
But despite their complicated living arrangement, the West source dismisses any talk that the pair are headed for divorce. “This is just not true. Despite all of their trials this year, they remain very much committed to their marriage and their family.”
