The Bachelorette’s Becky Miles chooses Pete Mann in a whirlwind finale

This season of The Bachelorette Australia has been like no other.

The announcement of sisters Elly and Becky Miles for our first double season surprised and delighted fans.

And now, after tears, scandals and some awkward hometown video calls older sister Becky has found ‘The One.’

Taking both kite surfing instructor, Adrian Baena and cafe owner, Pete Mann to the finale, Becky chose to pin her final rose lapel on the suit jacket of Pete.

“Matters of the heart cannot be taken lightly and I have strong feelings for both of these men,” she wrote.”It’s going to be a head and heart struggle but I need to do what my gut is telling me is the right decision in this moment.”

It was only after spending more time together during their one-on-one skydiving date that Becky felt clear Pete would lead her to happily ever after.

“I knew there was something about him,” the 30-year-old told cameras before of her final rose ceremony.

“He’s just everything you’d want in a husband, I can’t wait to let him know, ‘You’re a done deal’.”

“Every date we’ve been on you’ve made me feel so comfortable,” she said, when telling him the news. “You’re so trustworthy and you’re such a kind soul. I know with you there were some concerns there about whether you were ready, but there’s so much potential there with us that you’re worth taking that risk.

“I wanna be the person that makes you happy.”

Speaking with hosts Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley on the Life Uncut podcast earlier this week, Becky addressed whether the pair we’re in love.

“I wouldn’t say love! But I’m definitely in a happy place, so… I feel like the road to love is a bit of a journey right? And I just want that time on the outside to just get to know my person, and have fun and just do real life.”

In a chat with WHO, Becky turned the spotlight to her sister’s budding romance, remarking that she’s “never seen Elly so smitten.”

Becky reportedly dumped a guy she was casually dating to appear on The Bachelorette and was at one point grilled over the piece of gossip by Adrian’s brother during hometown visits.

She set the record straight to Woman’s Day, however, revealing: “I was casually dating someone before the show, which was for a short amount of time. He was a great guy, we have great respect for each other.

“When I told him about this opportunity I tried to be as honest as possible and we left on a good note.”
