We’ve seen some heartwarming romances emerge from The Bachelor but one of our favourites has to be that of Matty J and Laura Byrne, who found love on the reality show in 2017.
Cast your minds back to that season five finale in Thailand when Matt made that declaration of love – can you believe it was only three years ago?
Since then, the happy couple have welcomed daughter Marlie-Mae, become engaged and are expecting another little bub in the new year but on Wednesday, Laura decided to take a trip down memory lane.
Posting to Instagram, the Bachelor winner shared some adorable snaps from her time on the show and in the months afterwards when she and Matt had to hide their relationship from the public.
The first photo was Laura and Matt’s first official couple pic following the finale.
“This is the first photo I have in my phone (I know Matt has a couple photos from before this though) this was during Bachie lockdown post filming on our first secret little rendezvous,” she captioned the adorable picture.
Laura also shared a candid snap of Matt lighting a fire with the caption: “We stayed in a tiny little cabin in the middle of nowhere, cooked lots of food, talked about all the life stuff we weren’t able to on the show…and drank several bottles of wine.”
The Bachie beauty also shared an unseen photo from inside the mansion with fellow contestant, Lisa Carlton.
In it, the duo pose for the camera in what appears to be their bedroom holding balloons. Whilst Lisa’s balloon reads: “You looked really bored in the rose ceremony,” Laura’s had a drawing of a penis on it.
“Not sure why there is a giant rocket dick on my balloon,” she mused in the caption.
This year in September, Laura and Matty celebrated three years passing since the finale, shortly before their second pregnancy announcement was revealed.
Joking on Instagram, former Bachelor Matty penned: “I’ll be honest, we both kinda forgot the finale happened 3 years ago today. I blame the fact that we’re still so disgustingly in love with each other it’s made our memories slightly hazy… and the fact that we’re battling extreme parental fatigue.”
