Foxtel has officially confirmed hit drama series Succession will return for a fourth, undoubtedly explosive, season with a new trailer.

It comes after Succession’s third season fed our growing obsession with the award-winning HBO drama after it ended on a high. In case you forgot what went down, read our recap here.

If you haven’t already binge-watched your way through the first seasons of the show – available on Foxtel – it’s a bitingly funny and intense look at power and family dynamics through the fictional Roy family who strike an astounding resemblance to the Murdoch empire.

What do we know about season 4?

In season four of Succession, we’ll see the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) move ever closer.

“The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is complete,” the synopsis reads.

“A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.”
