Fear not, there will be a sequel to the much loved 2018 rom-com, Crazy Rich Asians.
But the question on everyone’s lips is: When?
Conversations about the highly anticipated sequel, that will reportedly be based on the follow-up novel ‘China Rich Girlfriend’, occurred in August this year.
And while fans were under the impression that the sequel wouldn’t be far off, Constance Wu— who played Rachel Chu in the fim— revealed at the Vulture Festival in Los Angeles on Nov. 17 that they’ll have to wait a while to find out what happens next.
“I don’t know much about the production side of things,” Wu said. “But I know that (Crazy Rich Asians director Jon M. Chu) wants to direct the next one, and all next year he’s directing ‘In The Heights.’”
